Walking into Bag-End the day before Frodo has to leave with Bilbo, Sam
finds a letter on the table addressed to him.
"Well now, I wonder who sent this?" He said with a questioning look on his
face. Opening it up he sees Frodo's familiar spidery handwriting.

Dearest Sam,

How can I tell you?
That I have to leave you
With all that we've been through
This is what I have to do

I'm in pain, please understand
I can't stay here
even with your helping hand

Take care of Bag-End
and the friends that were so near
Watch out for Merry and Pip
Don't let them shed a tear

I love you Sam, more than words can say
But soon, soon my friend
I will see you one day

tear.
