I don’t own rights to any Transformers character. Nor do I own rights to the song “Bring on the Rain.” This fic is set
after the “Remorse” episode of Transformers Armada.

*Another day has almost come and gone
Can’t imagine what else could go wrong
Sometimes I’d like to hide away,
Somewhere and lock the door
A simple battle lost, but not the war*
“H-Hotshot?” The Autobot turned slowly, and saw the tiny human peeking in from the doorway, smiling weakly at him.
Hotshot quickly wiped away his tears and smiled back at the girl.
“Oh, hi, Alexis. What’s up?”
Alexis frowned and sat down next to the Autobot, sighing deeply. “Are you all right, Hotshot?”
The transformer sniffled, and looked sadly at the child. “I-I don’t know. It doesn’t feel right, living each day without
Optimus to lead us. It-It isn’t fair, dammit! Why’d he have to go and sacrifice himself like that anyway? (Sobs) It isn’t..
fair...”
Hotshot broke down in tears again, and Alexis stiffened a bit. “I know it isn’t fair, Hotshot. But you KNOW why he did it.
We all miss him, but he did what he felt was best. He wanted peace for everyone, without wars and fighting all the time.”
Hotshot lowered his eyes to the floor and sighed.
*‘Cause tomorrow’s another day
And I’m thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain*
The doors whooshed open quietly, as the Mini-cons, along with the rest of the kids and the Autobots, entered the room.
“So there you two are,” Scavenger spoke up for the others, his arms folded across his chest. “What’s up?”
“Oh, hi guys. Alexis and I were just...talking.”
Scavenger looked at the fellow Autobot, unphased. “’Bout what?”
Alexis touched Hotshot’s shoulder gingerly and looked up at the group, not bothering to fight back the tears welling up
in her eyes.
“Optimus.”
Scavenger’s expression fell, as everyone in the group frowned sadly.
*It's almost like the hard times circle 'round
a couple drops, and they all start coming down
yeah I might feel defeated, and I might hang my head
I might be barely breathing, but I'm not dead, no
'Cause tomorrow's another day
And I'm thirsty anyway
So bring on the rain*
Rad shifted uncomfortably for a second, then extended his arm out to Hotshot, a small box in his hand.
“Need a tissue, buddy?”
Hotshot smiled at the boy, took a tissue and blew his nose fiercely. Carlos wiped away his own tears with his shirt sleeve.
“I can’t believe he’s really gone. It’s like we’re all living in a bad dream nobody can wake up from. This really sucks.”
The others nodded and muttered agreement, as an Autobot put an arm around Hotshot comfortingly.
“Well, we can’t just sit around sulking forever, can we? Optimus would’ve wanted us to continue our mission, to free every
last Mini-con.”
*No I'm not gonna let it get me down,
I'm not gonna cry
and I'm not gonna lose any sleep tonight
cause tomorrow's another day
and I am not afraid
so bring on the rain*
The group enchanged slow smiles, which was interrupted by a warning alarm. Scavenger frowned a mnoment at the noise, then
turned to his comrades with an impish grin.
"Time to rock and roll, guys!"
Another Autobot let out a loud cheer.
"Yeah, let's do it! Kick some butt! Yahoo!"
The human children watched the group of mecha race out of the room. Alexis' eyes glazed, almost as if she were daydreaming
while wide awake.
"What's so funny, Alexis?" Rad looked genuinely confused. Alexis shook her head slowly.
"Oh, nothing. We better catch up to them before we miss all the action."
The boys agreed enthusiastically and followed their Autobot friends into the next room, as a shadowed figure smiled and
vanished into thin air.
*Tomorrow's another day
and I'm thirsty anyway
so bring on the rain
ooh-ooh-ooh*

Author's note: So what did ya think? Please let me know if you liked this. I thought I would try something different for a
change. The song and "Remorse" really inspired me to do this, kind of a one-shot thing. But wasn't it oh-so cute? And anyone
who has read my other stuff may have noticed I kind of have a thing for songifcs. But the songs themselves inspire my
writing, and I think they really set the mood for certain stories, that is why I do them. I try not to overdo it, though.
But anyway if you liked this min-story thingy PLEASE review I always welcome constructive criticisms and comments but please
be nice. Thank you, hope you enjoyed this. ^_^
