Arashi's eyes are blank. There is no emotion there but what you put in them.

You think this is strange. Usually he is so alive, so passionate and furious and easy to read.

Today he just . . .

You reflect everything. You show people everything about themselves that they doubt and fear and make it manageable. You analyze it and make it small and less frightening. You're used to doing that.

But today, Arashi has nothing to reflect. Just those blank eyes, like mirror-glass.

Because the only thing you see in his eyes today is you, and you don't understand that at all.

But you have always underestimated other people's feelings for you. So if you see yourself in them, you assume that they feel nothing and are reflecting you the way you reflect them in turn.

But not everyone has glass eyes.
