A/N: *smacks self* Damn you, Moonsheen. Damn you and your
pretty writing. And damn Hizashi for being angsty, bitter, and
cool as hell.
"Something Over Nothing"
Hiashi is the weaker one. It's hard to tell- Hizashi is only a
little stronger. No one's sure if it's going to stay that way.
Except for Hizashi, anyway, and he never mentions it.
They kind of hate each other, but not that much.
Hizashi doesn't train as much as Hiashi, but he is still a
little stronger. Lately, he's been working a little harder
though. The gap between them is increasing.
He doesn't tell Hiashi that, though. Doesn't tell anyone, or
even let the others know the new techniques he's learned.
Some day he is going to fully surpass his brother, though. It's
inevitable. But for now he'd really rather not. For now, he
wants to pretend that they are the same.
He always thinks that way in these moments, when Hiashi comes to
him and presses him into his bed and they do this thing. He
kind of wonders if anyone knows. If anyone ever hears them.
It's usually Hiashi who comes to Hizashi. And Hizashi lets him,
because . . . well, because. Because they're brothers, because
Hizashi is stronger, because they hate each other, because they
love each other.
Because he is not of the main house. Because he is supposed to
take care of Hiashi.
But really, it's because he wants to.
There is something about being together that makes Hizashi feel
okay. Even though they kind of hate each other.
Because even though they kind of hate each other . . . they are
still brothers. Same womb, same parents, same everything. They
are supposed to be together.
Maybe they aren't allowed to be together the way they are
"supposed" to be, but this is something in its own way.
And something is better than nothing.
