A/N: Dan's POV. Because a Dan muse was tugging on my hair and
bothering me about it. Just an ickle thing . . . I wanted it to
be longer, but it was a stubborn little bastard.

"This is the story of a girl
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world
And while she looks so sad in photographs
I absolutely love her
When she smiles."

First time I saw you, you were with your old cell members and
laughing through tears.
I thought you were beautiful.
Not because of your face or your breasts or your body. Because
of that light in your eyes, just barely visible through the
tears. Because of the light in your eyes and the way you
smiled.
Such an amazing smile.
I learned your story later, met you later, spoke to you later,
kissed you later. But that day was the first day.
That day I saw your smile, heard your laughter, saw your tears.
You were so perfect and amazing and everything I could've asked
for.
Sometimes I wonder how many people missed it and feel sorry for
them.
Does it hurt if you never have it, I wonder? Does it hurt to
miss out on someone that way? I can't imagine how it would, if
you never know what you're missing, but . . .
The thought of missing out on you is the most tragic one I've
ever had.
Last time I saw you, you were crying. Trying to smile for me
and crying, and still with that light in your eyes behind all of
it.
That light . . . that light that caught my eye and showed me how
incredible you are.
Even if I do die here . . . even if I do die, I'm so grateful I
saw it.
Your light is blinding.

. : never frown, even when you're sad- you never know when
someone's falling in love with your smile : .
