Ford's sorrows float in his fifth can of beer. Through the murky haze of his consciousness he sees the man he wants and the woman the man he wants wants. The glaring light of the TV flickers, reflected in his tired eyes, as his thoughts jump drunkenly from one depressing sentence to another. Eight words, and they hurt. Give and take, share the love and pain - they're jagged pieces of broken bottles stabbed through his shredded heart. Billions of miles travelled and he returns to find this. So far, so bad.
