After eleven more hours of surgery, Hawkeye Pierce found himself sitting outside, his back leaning against the post op wall. His legs decided they couldn't make it all the way to the SWAMP, let alone the Officers Club, whichever came first.

He softly laid his head against the wall and looked up to the helipad where just hours ago he said goodbye to his old CO.

Trapper Macintyre wandered out minutes later and decided to join his friend in the comfortable dirt that was their island in North Korea. He too was fixated on the helipad.

"Damn Trap." Hawkeye said firmly shaking his head.

"Damn." Trapper replied with a nod.

After a few moments passed between them, they contemplated drowning out their sorrows. Then simultaneously they took their eyes off the helipad and looked at each other, nodding in agreement.

"Radar." Hawkeye started as he pushed himself up off the ground.

"Radar." Trapper replied also gathering his feet under him.

Trapper patted Hawk on the shoulder as the two headed over to the office, a friend needed them.
