An Epilogue

Loose Ends

-----

So. Like. Hiei and Kurama went through angst and such, and had to endure the painful interval of time between Kurama's departure and college graduation.

Eventually, stuff happened and Kurama and Hiei did it. After all, that's what you were all waiting for, right? Right. By the way, Hiei was totally bottom. He never topped. NEVER.

They lived happily ever after, and had lots of ice cream.

The Dreaded Author’s Note of Doom

------

So, as many of you have probably deduced by now, this is not the ending for OHDL. And here it comes, that note that many readers dread receiving, especially when the author already updates every other six months or so.

When I started OHDL, I didn’t think it would, well, get this big. I certainly didn’t think so many people would read it, and I just dismissed it as another story I started on a whim.

But, as it grew, it became more than “just another story”. I grew attached to it, and felt motivated to keep it on. For the most part, reviewers were respectful and encouraging, and I kept it up. …For the most part.

The most rewarding thing I received from OHDL, was that it improved my writing. A lot. Anyone can see the huge differences when compairing the meager style of the prologue, and my current style in chapter fourteen.

Aside from that, I’ve made wonderful friends whom I now love very much; friends who I never would have met had I not taken the chance with OHDL.

However, OHDL is the last for YYH, as I officially state that I am leaving the fandom after my usual six-month hiatus. The reasons are long and cliché, so I won’t bother you with them. (Ugh, I’m already getting much too sentimental with this.)

OHDL was my first major work, so it’s special to me. I don’t want any offers to continue or end it, so don’t even ask. If it ever ends, I plan to do it myself, but it wouldn’t be for another four months or so. Also, I won’t respond to any pressure or threats to end it, so that’ll just be a waste of time.

To put things simply? I’m leaving the YYH fandom, and OHDL will probably not be updated for another half year.

So in all, it’s been a good run. YYH was the first fandom I ever wrote fic for, and it certainly won’t be the last. Good luck to all of you, and I’m flattered that you’ve stuck with this story for so long.

Until next time,

Gogo
