* One-Month Anniversary*

"Looks like everyone's here! Yosh...we can begin our meeting now, nyaa!"

Murmurs started to fill up the classroom. Oishi heaved what was the umpteenth sigh as he slanted a gaze to the redhead beside him. "I'm crazy for even doing this," he mumbled to himself.

"Oishi!" Eiji chided as he turned to face the green-eyed boy. The sapphire blue eyes were shining with displeasure and his lips were pursed into a cute pout. "If you are crazy, then so are the rest of us. Come on, nyaa...don't you want to repay Fuji's kindness?"

Another sigh escaped him as he rubbed the side of his temple. "Yes, of course I want to repay Fuji's kindness." Forcing himself to relax, Oishi then turned to Eiji with a small smile. "Gomen, ne..."

The redhead grinned as he leaned forward. "Bet-su-ni," he whispered, his breath smelling like oranges. Oishi found himself staring at the full lips, the need to capture their softness with his own pounding at his heart. The vice-captain then proceeded to close the inch gap between them, preparing to make the intimate connection...

"Oishi-senpai, Kikumaru-senpai..."

The two mentioned pulled back instantly, turning to the one who had called them. Ryoma lowered his cap's visor, shielding his face from the two seemingly intense pair of eyes. "Can you do your kissing later? I can't be long so do you mind starting the meeting now?"

Oishi lowered his head, embarrassed that he could not control his urge in front of his comrades. Eiji, on the other hand, seemed unaffected and was laughing instead.

"Oh, Echizen...are you jealous that our senpais are more loving towards each other?" Momo spoke up, draping an arm around the freshman. "Hmm?"

Ryoma shrugged off the hand around him, golden eyes fixed upon the older boy seated beside him. "Baka yo, Momo-senpai!" he muttered heatedly before turning back to front, arms crossed.

Momo opened his mouth to further tease the annoyed boy but was cut off by a sharp hissing. Looking over his shoulder, he saw Kaidoh giving him the infamous snake-like gaze. "Problem, mamushi?"

Kaidoh hissed again and was halfway out of his seat when a large hand came down on his shoulder, restraining him. Still hissing, he turned, narrowing his eyes at the bespectacled boy who had restrained him. "Inui-senpai..."

"Patience, remember? You're only 20% away from the target. Sit down, alright?" he coaxed as he pulled back Kaidoh down onto the chair. The instant Kaidoh was seated, Inui turned sharply to Momo, glasses glinting dangerously. "No calling of names when I'm around, remember?"

Momo's head immediately assumed a 90 degrees bend. "Sumimasen, Inui-senpai," he quickly said before turning back to the front, giving Eiji and Oishi up-front his undivided attention. Beside him, Ryoma was snickering.

"Hoi, hoi...settle down everyone! Yosh, we shall begin the meeting now." Clearing his throat, Eiji continued, "As you all know, today would not have been possible without the kindness of one very special person. This person was responsible for the love that had been blossoming between you and your partner this past few weeks."

Eiji paused, giving Oishi a warm smile to which the vice-captain immediately returned. When he turned back to the face the other four, Eiji was heartened to see the sight before him. Momo had his arm draped once again around Ryoma's small shoulder while Inui had Kaidoh's hand on his lap and was clasping it tightly.

"Aww...look at us. We are clearly so very happy. So today's meeting is all about repaying the kindness of that special person, who is none other than Fuji Syusuke! He had played matchmaker for us and I think it is time we find him a match. Whatcha all think?"

Momo was first to speak up. "Good idea, Kikumaru-senpai! Ne, Echizen?"

Ryoma shrugged nonchalantly. "I suppose." He pushed the visor up slightly and looked from Oishi to Eiji. "But who do you have in mind?"

The redhead grinned as he tapped at Oishi's shoulder lightly. "Tell them, Oishi!" he exclaimed.

The vice-captain ran a hand through his hair. "Well...erm, actually...there are two possible choices for Fuji in Seigaku. Taka-san...and Tezuka."

"Buchou then!" Momo hollered immediately.

"I agree," Ryoma called out.

"I've got no exact data on this kind of things but I see no objection to pair Fuji up with Tezuka. I think there's a kind of deep chemistry between them, being Seigaku's top two."

Eiji nodded his head thoughtfully, oblivious to the silent protest of Oishi who had his head buried in his hands and shaking it slowly from left to right. "What about you, Kaidoh? Any objections?"

"Pssshhh..."

"I take it as a yes then!" Eiji exclaimed happily. "Yosh...majority wins then. Now that's settled, here's what I've planned out. You see..."

He was just pulling on the Seigaku tennis shirt when a muffled ringing came from his bag. Fuji cocked his head to one side, wondering who the caller was. He sat down on the bench and drew out his handphone.

"Moshi moshi?"

"Fuji...will you do me a favor nyaa?"

Fuji's smile stretched an inch. "Of course, Eiji...what is it?" He heard Eiji took a deep breath and someone sighing.

"See Fuji...today's a special day for Oishi and me. It's our one-month anniversary. So we want to celebrate which means we have to skip practice today. Help us out with Tezuka ne?"

Smile still in place, Fuji nodded. "Aaa...sure. It's one month already? Time really flies. Congrats, Eiji. Give my regards to Oishi - he's beside you right?"

Eiji giggled. "Hai!"

"Don't worry, you two. Just have fun. I'll come up with an excuse."

"Arigato yo, Fuji! You're the best! Saankyu!" And immediately, the line went dead.

Fuji lowered his phone, shaking his head. "That Eiji! Ah, I better come up with an excuse for Tezu-"

He was interrupted by another round of ringing. "Hai, moshi moshi?"

"Fuji-senpai? Momoshiro here," answered a deep voice.

Fuji felt an apparition coming up. "Aa...Momo. By any chance, are you calling to say that you and Echizen are not coming for practice?"

A surprised gasp wheezed at the other end, which sounded fake to Fuji's keen ears. "Mou, Fuji-senpai! How did you know?"

"It's your one-month anniversary, right?"

"You remembered, Fuji-senpai!" exclaimed the powerhouse of Seigaku tennis club.

Fuji grinned. Unfortunately."By the looks of it, I guess you want me to help you and Echizen deal with Tezuka?"

"Uh-huh. Can you, Fuji-senpai?" Momo asked hopefully. "But if it's too much trouble..." he quickly added then.

"No, it is not. You have fun and leave the rest to me." I don't have much choice anyway. I'm the one to be blamed for today. Tsk, tsk...Fuji! Poor planning ne?

"Saankyu, Fuji-senpai. Echizen promises to treat you to wasabe sushi!" A loud yell burst in the background and Fuji assumed it to be from Ryoma.

After hanging up, Fuji stood up and grabbed his racket. He heaved a sigh as he recalled his so-called ingenuous plans two month ago. He had decided to play matchmaker, seeing the love potential between the three pairs; Oishi and Eiji, Momo and Echizen and Inui and Kaidoh. He had spent one month trying to get them together and when they finally did, he could not have been happier. But unfortunately, the six had decided to come clean with their feelings on the same day. Coincidence maybe but today, it looked like conspiracy to Fuji.

That means Inui and Kaidoh will not be coming either! Fuji glanced at his bag, deciding whether to wait for Inui's call. Yare, yare...three excuses? I may be a genius but Tezuka isn't stupid.

The sound of the clubroom door being opened broke Fuji's train of thoughts. Turning, his smile froze at the sight of the tall boy, russet-brown hair wind-blown and hazel eyes sparkling behind the glass barriers. His lips were pulled in a thin line of displeasure. Fuji felt his heart skipped a beat, a natural phenomenon that always happened whenever he saw Tezuka. And Fuji wondered yet again how he could pull three excuses for the strict buchou.

"Inui and Kaidoh are not coming today. They've got a fitness seminar they want to attend," Tezuka informed as he stepped up to Fuji, looking down suspiciously at the tensai.

Oh? So Inui and Kaidoh have come up with their own excuses then. But still, the other four need excuses and Tezuka is already suspicious. "Sou ka? That's good. I hope Inui can come up with better fitness program for us then."

The buchou raised an eyebrow. "Aa." He paused, looking around the small clubroom. "I do not see the other regulars at the courts. I figured they might be here but I see only you."

None of the regulars are at the courts? But at least Taka-san should be there, right? "Taka-san's not there?"

The hazel eyes narrowed. "No. His father fell sick yesterday so he had to manage the sushi shop today. I suppose you know where the others are?"

Fuji let out a small laugh. "Let them be, Tezuka. You can always punish them tomorrow."

Tezuka grunted. "Of course they are going to be punished! But I still would like to know where the others are."

The smiling boy gave a delicate shrug. "I don't know, Tezuka." I sense a conspiracy. But why? What's their purpose?

"Fuji..." came the dangerously low voice. "If you know something, tell me. Or I'll force it out of you."

"Sou ka?" Fuji replied teasingly, cocking his head to one side.

Tezuka nodded as he stepped closer. "It's Saturday today and it's a practice day for the regulars only. Since there are only the two of us, I see no problem in getting an answer out of you."

Fuji chuckled. "Confident, aren't you?" His lids fluttered opened, revealing the dreamy blues underneath. "I'd like to see you try, buchou..."

Without a word, Tezuka grabbed hold of Fuji's upper arm and tugged the smaller boy to him. He removed his glasses and put it down on a nearby shelf. "You asked for it," he growled as he leaned forward, crushing his lips fiercely against the tensai's.

A muffled chuckle escaped Fuji but was soon replaced by a low moan when Tezuka slipped an urgent tongue to tease his own. Teeth clashed against teeth, hands roved down each other's backs and hips grinded against one another. Tezuka tore his lips from Fuji's, ran it down the pale neck and began sucking at the throbbing pulse. Fuji leaned his neck back, exposing more of it to the hungry buchou while he buried his fingers deep into the soft, brown hair.

"Tezuka..." Fuji breathed heavily as he tugged the tall boy's head up, eyes locked onto the hazel orbs.

"Are you going to tell me now?" the buchou demanded huskily.

Fuji managed a wobbly smile, eyes lowering to Tezuka's throat instead. "In a while, I promise..." he replied as he latched his lips to the Adam's apple, wanting to repay the torturous debt. Fuji felt a low growl bubbling from deep within Tezuka's throat and the Adam's apple bobbing restlessly under his intent lips. "In a while..." he repeated again.

Eiji caught a drop of the chocolate ice-cream trickling down the cone. "I wonder how Fuji is doing. You think he and Tezuka will end up like us?" he asked as he scanned the five faces before him.

"Gee, Kikumaru-senpai...why don't you call Fuji-senpai and ask?" Ryoma said sarcastically. Momo elbowed the freshman, purple eyes narrowing disapprovingly. Ryoma lowered his head as a blush crept up his cheeks. "Gomen."

Eiji waved a hand. "It's ok. I'll call him later, I guess."

"I still think it was wrong to put laxative in Kawamura-san's tea," Oishi piped in. "Poor Taka-san! We coaxed him into giving us a treat and when we were there, we ate like there was no tomorrow. And while Kawamura-san had his back turned from us, we put laxative in his tea. If Taka-san knew that we are the ones responsible for his father falling ill..."

"Relax, Oishi," Inui coaxed. "I've done careful calculations. The amount of laxative we put into Kawamura-san's tea should only affect him for two days, the max. He'll be fine. And Taka-san won't know if none of us tell." Beside him, Kaidoh hissed before popping a fry into his mouth.

Oishi heaved a heavy sigh. He still felt bad. "I hope it was worth it. I really hope it was worth it..."

=owari=

Hehe...know what's going on? Or are you confused? Just in case you are, I'll tell you. Eiji and the rest are trying to match make Tezuka and Fuji but what they didn't know is that the two are already an item. And they had to resort to unscrupulous tactic to get Taka-san out of the way. Hehe...
