Description: See what happened between the 2 months from which Draco and Hermione had to wait to be with each other. (Reading the first story might help too.)

Draco and Hermione had made a promise that in 2 months they would revile their relationship to everyone. But things didn’t work out as well as they thought they would, a new girl named Merica came to the school and was appointed to the Slytherin house. She was gorgeous and everyone knew it, especially Hermione.

In the Great Hall Hermione looked over to the Slytherin table to see what Draco was up to, but when she looked she wished she hadn’t. Draco and Merica were sitting next together, engaging in a very what seemed like intelligent yet flirty conversation. She always touched Draco’s shoulders and sometimes patted him on the leg in a ‘friendly’ type way if you may say so. Hermione looked downward and sighed to herself, Harry and Ron were out practicing for Quidditch so she was all alone, well not really all the other Gryffindors were there, but without Harry and Ron she felt empty. She shook her head and got up to leave, not glancing back at Draco or Merica.

Draco looked up just in time to see Hermione leave, she didn’t even look back and her face didn’t contain a smile it looked of sadness. Draco felt like something horrible was going to happen, so he excused himself from Merica and left the Great Hall. Merica watched as he left and whispered, “You will be mine …” and smiled to herself as she continued to eat her dinner.

Draco was furiously looking for Hermione, he went to the library first to check if she was at ‘their spot’ in the way back in the corner but did not find her there. He went to the Gryffindor room and asked the fat lady if she had entered and said no quite irritated that he’d come and bother her. “Where in the devil can she be?” Draco cursed to himself. He looked around, and then it hit him. He began walking towards the courtyard, and saw her outline between the moonlight shadows. She was sitting on the same bench they sat on the last time they had been in the courtyard together, and that was at least about a month ago.

Hand in mine, into your icy blues
And then I'd say to you we could take to the highway

Hermione saw him coming for a while now; she didn’t want to be around him. She was actually hoping that he won’t come near her because then they would be in public view of everyone, and that’s why she came here because a lot of people were out right now and if she would’ve went to ‘their spot’ he wouldn’t have minded. Hermione turned around, and as she expected he didn’t come near her, like she had some sort of disease. She sighed and turned back around getting upset at the facts that were arising. ‘But we agreed that we couldn’t be seen in public, but why should we? Because he doesn’t want his friends to know, I know Harry and Ron wouldn’t be too pleased about it either but I mean…’ she shook her head ridding of the thoughts. She turned around to look at Draco but saw him walking away…with Merica. She felt like she had been stab 45 times in the heart, over and over again. She saw Merica look behind her and smile wickedly at her.

Draco was about to walk over to Hermione, but saw all of the people around her. ‘I know that people shouldn’t stop me from seeing her…but they are.’ He thought to himself and continued to stare at her. She looked back a few times at least, as if teasing him. He knew that she knew he wouldn’t come, he sighed knowing that. Then suddenly he felt a light touch on his shoulder, it was Merica. “Oh hi…” Draco said turning towards her. ‘She is quite beautiful…’ Draco thought to himself and then Hermione fell upon his mind, he felt like he had just betrayed her. “Hello Draco.” She cooed his name practically, not a Pansy coo but like a seductive type. And then he fell, “Would you like to walk with me?” Draco asked, and Merica shook her head yes and linked her arm through one of his. They left for their common room, and they walked away, leaving Hermione behind, in the back of Draco’s head.

Hermione’s eyes began to overflow with tears, ‘Why had he just done that?’ she thought to herself. ‘He hasn’t changed, how could’ve I been so dense to ever think of him being some what normal, and someone that I thought I cared for, and liked…and lo…No Hermione don’t say it, its no use. He doesn’t care for you, so…don’t care for him.’ Hermione thought to herself, and got up and walked away, going to the library and to ‘their spot’ and do some thinking, alone.

With this trunk of ammunition too
I'd end my days with you in a hail of bullets

Draco must’ve been delusional, ‘Why am I in the common room? Why do I feel so warm…’ he thought and opened his eyes and saw Merica sleeping softly on top of him. He felt a wave of memories flush back to him. Merica and him came back here to talk and such but eventually fell asleep in each other’s arms. “Hermione…” Draco whispered and felt Merica hug him tighter, he slowly untangled her arms from him and walked out of the common room. “What the fuck was I doing…” he said a loud going to look for Hermione, and hopefully be able to explain why he had just left her there, alone, in the cold. He looked at the courtyard first and then he went to the Gryffidor tower and asked the fat lady again and she got angered again and said, “Yes she was, in tears. You filthy little…” before she could finish Draco was gone, to the library.

Hermione had grabbed a few books of her own from her room Romeo and Juliet, Fahrenheit 451 and others, to read while she was in the library, trying to get her mind off of him. She felt her eyes begin to get heavy, ‘Why did he do that…? Is there even a real reason behind it? …Probably not, he’s back to his old ways.’ She thought to herself and tried to begin to read again but then felt a light tap on her shoulder. She didn’t want to turn around, she knew who it was, and she didn’t feel like talking to him, not after how cruelly he had acted towards her today. So she pretended she didn’t feel the tap, and continued to read word by word, ‘My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late!’ She re-read that line over once more, only this time out loud but only in a whisper, “My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late!” She could sense the person behind her tense up; the person laid a hand on her shoulder and slowly turned her around to face him. ‘Of course…’ she thought to herself, “Malfoy.” She said a loud for him to hear and turned back around to continue reading.

Draco had come to see if she was in the library and she was, and when he touched her she didn’t even feel it and then he had heard her recite something from one of her muggle books ‘My only love sprung from my only hate! Too early seen unknown, and known too late!’ His eyes flashed open, he couldn’t believe what had heard; she had said that on purpose. He turned her around so he could face her, only to hear one word ‘Malfoy.’ He could practically feel the wickedness dripping from the word and when she turned back around he felt like he had just been smacked into oblivion. “Hermione…” Draco whispered. “Shut up Malfoy, I’m trying to read and if you haven’t noticed.” Hermione snapped back at him. Now Draco was angry, who does she think she is? She is nothing compared to him…and he intended to let her know. “Excuse me you mudblood? Who do you think you are? You are nothing compared to me, so I suggest you keep your trap shut.” Draco said angrily.

I'm trying, I'm trying
To let you know just how much you mean to me

Hermione began to shake, horribly; she felt her whole body give up on her when she heard Draco finish his sentence. She wasn’t angry, all of her emotions were mixed into one and she became numb, like when all colors are mixed and then turned to a dark black or gray. She didn’t even take any of her books, she got up and left, barely being able to stand on her own two feet she ran, trying to make her legs run faster so she could get away from the hell she was in. Draco literally smacked himself, he had never seen Hermione act like that, she didn’t say one word to him and her body, it was breaking apart before his own eyes and he had done it, he had been the one to break Hermione Granger. A lonely tear slipped out of his eye, but was quickly removed by Draco’s arm. He had to apologize this time, no if, ands or buts about it. And if she refused to listen, he would make her listen, any way possible.

Hermione ran, ran far away, she didn’t go up to her room, she didn’t go to the courtyard. She ran out of Hogwarts, slowly trudging through the snow since she had no pants or any kind of warmth she began to walk slower. Her body was still shaking, from her break down to her being colder then ice about now, inside and out. But she wouldn’t stop; she would walk to the edge of the earth right about now and jump off falling into a complete oblivion. She didn’t care if she died, she didn’t care about anyone anymore, except for Harry and Ron but they didn’t even know what was wrong, nor would they ever. She began to reach the Forbidden Forest, no one was suppose to go in there, but she didn’t care and she entered. Her arms and legs had gone numb, she knew she’d probably get frostbite but it wasn’t the first thing on her mind. On her 4th step she could sense someone or something was around her, she felt herself get worried but soon regained her self but not moving from her position in the forest’s edge.

Draco was starting to freak out; he couldn’t find her anywhere. He thought about going to look for Harry and Ron but how would he tell them that Hermione is missing because of him and that Hermione and himself have been having a secret sort of affair with each other? Draco was so confused, ‘What do I do…?’ he thought to himself, “Okay, it’s settled…” Draco walked towards Professor Dumbledore’s office, he had to tell him what was wrong, and that Hermione was gone. “Professor…?” Draco asked, sort of scared. “Yes Draco, come right in.” Professor Dumbledore said. “I have something urgent to tell you about a student, Hermione she’s gone…” Draco explained the whole thing to Dumbledore, the whole thing from the studying together, to the liking of each other and to the part about Merica and him. “Ah, I see Draco…” Professor Dumbledore said as he rubbed his chin, “I can only think of one place she is at…and that’s only because I do know.” He stood up and walked over to his window, and said, “She is in there, the forest…” Draco’s eyes went wide, he had only been in there once, and that was with Harry and them because of detention. “You aren’t serious are you?” Draco asked horrified that Hermione was alone in there. “Oh yes, I am very serious Mr. Malfoy.” Dumbledore said nonchalantly. “Well we should go get her no?” Draco said getting up and heading for the door. “No, I don’t believe so…I’ve already sent someone to get her.” Dumbledore said and began to walk back to his seat. “Who?” Draco asked as he stopped at the door, “is it Potter?” Draco asked again. “Yes, it is.” With that said Draco left the Professor’s office.

And after all the things we put each other through and

Hermione felt like she had been standing in that spot for ages, when finally that someone or something spoke, “’Mione?” he asked. Hermione shook her head, ‘No, its not…’ Suddenly the person came into view, it was certainly Harry Potter. “Harry!” Hermione screamed and started running towards him and embraced him tightly, she couldn’t have asked for anyone else to come for her. “Are you alright ‘Mione? Dumbledore told me to come out here and get you, he watched as you walked out here.” Harry asked sort of sad, confused and curious why she had. “Um…I’ll explain to you on the walk back” she stated. Harry took his cloak off and put it around Hermione and grabbed her hand, and they began to talk while Hermione explained the entire story. A short distance away from Hogwarts Hermione had finished with her story, “Are you fucking serious?” Harry said screaming and holding tighter to Hermione’s hand. Hermione shook her head yes, and hung it down not wanting to see Harry’s face of horrified disapproval. Suddenly she felt to arms wrap around her, Harry was hugging her. “Hermione, if you would’ve at least told me what was going on…” Harry whispered into her ear, and Hermione wrapped her arms around Harry, “I know, and I’m sorry I didn’t I just didn’t want Ron nor you to be upset with me…” Hermione said as she began to cry, Harry pulled away and wiped her tears. “Hermione, we are your friends and we would understand if you explained it to us.” Harry stated, and took her hand once again leading her to Hogwarts.

Draco watched from a window while the whole scene developed in front of him. He felt his whole world come down; he had been the cause of this problem. He looked down, and began to walk away but heard someone walk towards him, “Hermione…?” Draco said and turned around only to find Merica behind him, “oh, hi Merica.” Draco said turning back around. ‘This damn girl, she’s the start of these problems…’ Draco thought to himself. Merica slowly turned him around, and looked up into his eyes hoping to see happiness but the only thing she saw was anger, sadness, and confusion. “What is wrong Draco?” Merica asked as she moved closer to him. “Nothing…” Draco said as he began to turn away from her but was stopped when she put a hand around his wrist and pulled him back to her and was crushed by her lips on top of his. “Oh my god…” someone barely whispered, Draco pulled away and horror filled into his eyes there standing there with Harry was Hermione.

Harry was about to go over to Draco and slam his face right into the ground but, something told him not to because Hermione would get even more upset and seeing this scene in front of them didn’t really help either. “Hermione, its not what it looks like…” Draco said to her walking closer to her. “I bet Dr-r- MALFOY!” Hermione spat at him and backed into Harry’s arms, she looked up into his eyes and she could read what they said ‘Listen to him, okay? Maybe it isn’t…’ with that said Harry squeezed her shoulders and kissed her lightly on the top of her head and walked away. Hermione felt a cold breeze come by when she felt Harry leave her alone, all alone with Draco and that bitch Merica. But when Hermione looked for Merica she was nowhere in sight, but Draco was now right in front of her. “Hermione…” Draco said softly, placing a hand on her cold cheek. Hermione slapped his hand away, not wanting him to touch her, not after he had just touched that other girl. Draco tried to keep his anger under control “Please, Hermione listen to me, just for a moment or two…” Draco said moving closer to Hermione, and ever so slowly wrapping his arms around her. Hermione did not wrap her arms around him, but she raised them to his chest and began to pound on it, crying the hardest she had ever done before. Letting all of her emotions free to flow around her. Draco let her hit him; he deserved every one of those punches she hit him with and many more. But the more she hit him, the tighter he wrapped his arms around her.

I would drive on to the end with you
A liquor store or two keeps the gas tank full

Slowly Hermione stopped hitting his chest and just laid her head on his chest and wept into his chest. “Shhh, Hermione…” Draco said comfortingly to her, “I’m sorry for the words I said, I was angry and I’m sorry for what you had just saw. When she touched me I thought it was, I prayed it was you, I wished it was you and when it wasn’t I was walking away to go look for you because I saw you out there with … Harry. But she grabbed my wrist and kissed me, I’m so sorry you had to see that. I know you probably think that I am lying but I don’t have a reason to lie to you. To the one person I care about more then life, the one person who I hope cares for me just as much…” he paused and finished with a whisper, “the one person I love.” He felt Hermione stiffen under him, and then felt her hands wrap around him, indulging in his embrace. Hermione felt like she had just been hit with a ton of bricks, Draco loves her, or is beginning to. Hermione didn’t know what to do or say, but all she could get to come out of her mouth was, “I love you too, Draco Malfoy.” And held him tighter, and she felt his arms begin to hold her tighter also.

Draco kissed Hermione on the top of her head, and laid his own head on top of hers. He suddenly heard someone coming, he was about to let go of Hermione but then he stopped himself, ‘No, not this time…’ he continued to hold her and when the person reached the bottom of the stairs he held Hermione so tight he thought he could feel her bones breaking before him. The person stopped and seemed to stare at them for a moment, trying to figure out whom it was snogging but you couldn’t see their faces for Hermione’s was in Draco’s chest and Draco’s face was turned the other way. Draco heard the person walk away, and he slowly turned his face the other way to see who it was, it was Ginny.

Slowly Draco pulled slightly away from Hermione to look down at her, to only see she was asleep in his chest and his arms were the only thing keeping her up. He smiled down at the one he loved and ever so carefully picked her up into his arms, determined to take her to her room, no matter who saw them. He walked up the stairs he could feel the stares of some students, even heard some whispers, and saw shocked faces of many. One of which was Pansy, who ran away crying with her fellow Slytherin girls glaring at Draco and then running after her. As he reached Hermione’s room, he whispered to the fat lady painting before him the password and slipped into the common room. Not surprised to be met by a very furious Ron and Harry.

“You little prat!” Ron shouted, but then soon shut up when he saw the sleeping Hermione in his arms. “How’d you get in here?” Harry whispered to him. “You don’t think I’ve never been in here?” Draco said with a small smirk on his face and began to walk towards Hermione’s room leaving a both very shocked Harry and Ron. When he walked into the room he slowly shut the door behind him and set Hermione on her bed as softly as he could but Hermione’s eyes fluttered open. “What, where am I?” she mumbled, still groggy from just waking up. Draco smiled and whispered, “You fell asleep in my arms.”

Then all thoughts came rushing back to Hermione’s head; she began to get dizzy from all of them hitting her at once. Hermione remembered the sight of seeing Draco and Merica kissing, and the horrible words that Draco had said to her before. She felt her eyes get heavier and little puddles of tears formed in the corners or her eyes. “Hermione…” Draco said as he saw Hermione get upset once again, “please don’t cry.” He said as he wrapped his arms around Hermione once again comforting her. “I just…I felt like you didn’t care anymore, and it being so close to two months…” she mumbled into his shirt. “Hermione, I wouldn’t think of doing anything to ruin what have.” Draco said as he ran his fingers through her hair.

And I feel like there's nothing left to do
But prove myself to you and we'll keep it running

“So much has happened in one night,” Hermione said as she pulled away from Draco and looked into his eyes, “I just want the last month to be over with.” Draco nodded his head in agreement. “I don’t want you to leave,” Hermione said again as she hugged him again, “would you stay here with me tonight?” Hermione asked. Draco couldn’t believe his ears, ‘Does she really want me to stay with her tonight?’ he thought to himself. “Yes, I’d be delighted.” Draco said to her and slowly took off his shoes and then took off Hermione’s also and got onto the other side of Hermione and crawled under the covers. “Hold on, I want to put my pajamas on,” she said as she walked over to her trunk and pulled some out and went to change into the bathroom.

‘I cannot believe he is staying here with me tonight. I thought he’d tell me that I was crazy for ever thinking that we could do this so soon. Its not like we are going to have sex tonight or anything like that.’ She thought to herself as she changed into her t-shirt and plaid pajama pants. She walked out of the bathroom and set her clothes on the floor next to her bed and looked to get into bed to see Draco peacefully sleeping. She smiled to herself and climbed into her bed, she turned on her side so she was now facing him as she slept.

She began to talk to the sleeping Draco, “You know, you drive me crazy. Your slightest touch can send me off into a happy oblivion, but you could do something so stupid and it could practically tear me into pieces.” She smiled to herself, and took her hand and cupped his cheek with it and rubbed her thumb over his cheek. “Only another month and then we won’t have to worry about these silly arguments, we can be in our own world. We won’t have to look back ever again; we can just live the way we plan on to.”

But this time, I mean it
I'll let you know just how much you mean to me
As snow falls on desert sky

Hermione continued to stare at the blonde haired boy, just memorizing ever curve of his face and every strand of hair. Suddenly she watched as Draco stirred and mumbled, “Merica…” and cuddled closer to Hermione’s hand. Hermione laid there with her eyes wide open, as if she had seen a ghost. ‘He d-d-didn’t…he didn’t just say her name.’ She quickly pulled her hand away from his cheek, and watched as Draco’s eyes re-opened. Hermione quickly shut her eyes, to pretend she was fast asleep and to hold back her tears.

Draco smiled at his sleeping Hermione and placed an arm around her and fell back asleep, completely unaware of what he had just done. Hermione re-opened her eyes when she felt Draco’s light breathing on her neck, and she let her tears that she was holding in for what seemed like an eternity run down her cheeks like 1000 rivers. She felt like she had been killed, re-born, and then killed once more. She grabbed onto Draco’s shirt tightly, trying her hardest not to completely break down. Hermione fell asleep crying; hoping that the next day will be different.

Draco awoke first the next morning, and felt something wet on his shirt. He opened his eyes and saw a very pale, tear stained face Hermione laying close to him with her hands tightly clasped around his shirt. He didn’t know what had happened last night, he thought they were all right with everything that they had made up and just couldn’t wait for this month to be over. He slowly shook Hermione awake, and when she opened her eyes she looked into his and then remembered what he’d said last night. She got up and walked over to her mirror that was hung on the wall across the room. “What’s wrong Hermione?” Draco asked her worried about what’d had happened that he couldn’t remember. “You tell me,” Hermione said as she slowly walked away from the mirror over to the window. “Tell you what?” Draco said as he got out of the bed and walked over to Hermione, but she moved away from him and walked back over to the mirror. “You don’t remember…you practically moaned Merica’s name last night while I was laying next to you,” Hermione said feeling her tears build up inside of her again.

Until the end of everything
I'm trying, I'm trying
To let you know how much you mean

Draco’s jaw dropped, “I w-w-what?” he said stuttering. “You heard me,” Hermione said getting angry, “how could you? After what we talked about that night, you seemed like you had no feelings for her what so ever, but boy was I wrong. After telling me that you would never do anything to ruin what we supposedly have.” Hermione said as she began to cry. Draco couldn’t believe he had said Merica’s name. “Hermione, I swear, I didn’t know I said that, I wasn’t even thinking about her…” Draco said, as he looked down feeling just about as low as scum. “WELL YOU OBVIOUSLY WERE!” Hermione screamed picking up a book and throwing it at the mirror, and watching as the pieces fell down to the ground.

“I don’t even like her Hermione, I mean yeah she is beautiful. I won’t lie to you…” Draco said as he began to walk towards Hermione, but Hermione backed up and walked on the broken pieces of glass, feeling the pain as the pieces cut up her foot. Almost the same feeling of having your heart shredded to pieces, only having your heart torn was much worse. “Yeah right, I’ve noticed the way you looked at her when you two would talk during breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Great Hall. Her always touching you, and you never stopped her once!” Hermione said angrily as she continued to back up.

“WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO TELL YOU HERMIONE?” Draco screamed at her as he also now walked across the broken glass. “That I liked every minute of her touching me during those breaks, and that I loved it how she always looked at me,” Draco stopped, pausing wondering if he should say what he planned on to and Hermione noticed. “Go on, no ones stopping you,” she said as she finally reached the other wall and a waited. “That I loved the way she kissed me…” Draco said as he inched closer and closer to Hermione, who was now crying again.

As days fade, and nights grow
And we go cold

Until the end, until this blood
Until this, I mean this, I mean this
Until the end of...

“If that’s truly how you feel…” Hermione stifled her cries. Draco was now right in front of her, only a breath away from one another. “But its not Hermione, and you know it. I know you know it deep down in your heart if you search hard enough. You made me go deep into my heart and pull out all of my feelings for you, and only for you. I would never share something so precious with anyone else but you.” Draco said as he cautiously raised a hand to her cheek, and this time Hermione didn’t slap it away. “You know it Hermione, I’m sorry that I said her name and I know I shouldn’t have but I don’t even remember. But if you want I’ll say your name over and over again for the whole world to hear it.” Draco said and took another deep breath, “I love you with all of my heart, and I know I’m not perfect but no one is perfect and you know that. You are smart enough to.” And with that said Draco turned to walk away from her.

Hermione watched as Draco paused at the door as if waiting for her to call him back to her. But she didn’t, she wanted to call his name a loud, but her mouth wouldn’t open she wanted to tell him that she loved him just as much but her voice wouldn’t work. She wanted to hold him and kiss him, but her muscles were too tired and broken. Draco sighed and said quietly, “I’m sorry Hermione, I truly am,” and then opened the door to leave. Hermione’s mind was racing for those few seconds, her mind and her heart fighting one another. Her mind telling her to let him go, that he had hurt her enough to last her a lifetime. Then there was heart that was telling her to go to him, to tell him that she forgives him and that she loves him.

Draco began to walk out of the door but then Hermione called out his name, “Draco…wait,” she said and began to walk towards him. Draco turned his head and shut the door once again and waited for her at the door. When she had gotten to him she looked down and said softly, “I’m sorry for being like this, I don’t know why I am. I know that you didn’t intentionally say her name, and do any of the other things,” Hermione looked up into his stormy eyes to make sure he was aware of what she was saying, and he was staring down at her with sadness written all over his face and curiosity in his eyes, “and I love you, I love you with all of my heart, I wish you would’ve been awake last night to hear the things I said to you.” Hermione finished, and continued to stare at him.

“Say them again for me, please?” Draco asked softly to her. Hermione tried to remember what she had said last night, and when it came to her she repeated it word for word, “You know, you drive me crazy. Your slightest touch can send me off into a happy oblivion, but you could do something so stupid and it could practically tear me into pieces.” She took her hand like she had done the other night and touched his cheek. “Only another month and then we won’t have to worry about these silly arguments, we can be in our own world. We won’t have to look back ever again; we can just live the way we plan on to.” Hermione said and a small smiled played on her lips imagining living with Draco.

I'm trying, I'm trying
To let you know how much you mean
As days fade, and nights grow
And we go cold

Draco gathered Hermione up into his arms and held her forever. He didn’t want to let go of her, he was too afraid that if he did he would do something stupid and it’d ruin everything for once and for all. Hermione returned his hug and planted kisses on his neck, she wished she hadn’t gotten upset over what had happened, but she knew what happens, happens for the best of things.

“We should get ready and go to breakfast before everyone wonders where we are.” Draco said softly to her. “Yeah, you’re right. Why don’t you go to your room and get dressed and what not and I’ll see you there I suppose.” Hermione said back to him and loosened her grip on him. “Alright then, I’ll see you soon.” Draco said and grabbed his shoes and kissed her on the lips and walked over the door and whispered, “I love you.” And left. Hermione smiled to herself, and began to get ready for the day. But she had to first clean up the mess she had made, wipe of the floor to get rid of the blood, and then take a shower.

Draco walked out of the Gryffindor common room and began walking towards his room to get ready. On his way he saw Pansy and saw how evilly she looked at him, and then he remembered she had seen him carry Hermione last night up the stairs. But he didn’t really care right now, all he cared about was getting clean and seeing Hermione at breakfast. When he entered the common room he saw Merica sitting on the couch reading a book, “Where were you last night?” she asked Draco not removing the book from her face. “Not here,” he replied sarcastically and began to make his way up the steps. “You know, I could ruin you right here and now and let all of your fellow Slytherin’s know about you and that Granger girl,” Merica said as she slowly took the book away from her face, “so I’d be a little kinder if I were you.” Draco merely smiled and said, “I’m a Malfoy, and I’m not kind to anyone by the likes of you. And also, her name is Hermione not Granger,” and with that said he left a very stunned Merica.

But this time, we'll show them
We'll show them all how much we mean
As snow falls on desert sky
Until the end of every...

Hermione put on her robe and then made her way down to breakfast. While she was walking she could feel the glares and stares from all angles of the halls. ‘Someone must’ve seen us last night…I know Harry and Ron wouldn’t tell anyone…’ she thought to herself as she finally reached the Great Hall and seated herself in her regular place. Harry and Ron weren’t there yet, ‘Must be out roaming or something…’ she thought again, and began to eat her breakfast and ever so often looking up to see if Draco had entered. Finally Harry and Ron entered the Great Hall and rushed over to Hermione’s side, “Did Draco leave last night?” Ron asked curiously. Hermione shook her head no and continued to eat her breakfast. “WHAT!!” both of them said in union. “Could you guys keep it down, you know people are trying to enjoy their breakfast.” Hermione said as she bit a piece of her toast.

“What do you mean he didn’t leave last night?” Harry asked as he seated himself and began to eat his breakfast also. “Exactly what it says, he didn’t leave. I didn’t want him to leave me last night, so I asked him to stay there with me.” Hermione said without it even fazing her. Both Harry and Ron just looked at one another knowing it would be in their best interest to just drop the subject as of now. So they started talking about the Quidditch games and such as Hermione kept quiet and continued to occasionally look up for Draco. ‘Finally…’ her mind thought as she watched Draco walk through the doors, and then her mind screamed when she saw Merica following right behind him, but Draco didn’t stop at his table he continued to walk towards her direction. Merica sat down at the Slytherin table and began to whisper among the other students wondering what Draco was doing heading over towards the Gryffindor table.

‘Finally…’ Draco thought to himself as he reached the Gryffindor table, he could feel their angry looks being thrown at him like dangerous daggers but ignored them and walked over to Hermione’s side. “Good morning love,” Draco said and kissed her on the cheek. Hermione blushed and looked up to see Draco smiling at her, she replied “Good morning darling.” Draco smiled once more at her and walked back over to his table of Slytherins who were confused about what had just unfolded in front of them.

As lead rains, will pass on through our phantoms

All of the Gryffindors were now staring at Hermione, and then glancing from her to Draco who was now seated at his table. All the girls were staring at Hermione with astonishment on their faces, Ginny finally said, “Oh my good gracious, are you and Draco going out?” Hermione could help but giggle at that, ‘going out’ it sounded so formal, like they were married. “Yes, I believe we are going out,” she replied back to Ginny. Suddenly a conversation started with all of the Gryffindor girls about her and Draco. Ron and Harry just continued to roll their eyes as they continued to hear, ‘OH GOSH DRACO IS SO DREAMY!’ and other disgusting things they didn’t want to hear about Draco.

When Draco sat down at his table all of his fellow Slytherins were staring at him. Draco pretended to ignore their stares and began to eat his breakfast, and then you heard a yelp from Pansy’s direction, Draco didn’t even make an effort to look in her direction. ‘She is probably crying to her friends, searching for some sort of attention,’ Draco thought to himself. He looked across the tables and saw how all of the Gryffindor girls were now surrounding Hermione and he smiled to himself. “So are you happy now?” Merica said to Draco not even looking at him. “Yes, and what about you? You had it all planned out to try to ruin Hermione and me from the beginning. Believe me, I knew, I have ears you know, even if they aren’t mine I have people who tell me things that I can’t hear when I’m not around.” Draco said as he continued to eat his breakfast, barely getting worked up over this conversation with Merica.

Merica was a bit baffled, “So then why did you kiss me?” she asked him. Draco smiled to himself and said, “I didn’t kiss you, and nor did I plan on to. I believe you were the one who kissed me, and you were the one who touched me all the time.” Merica sat there staring at Draco watching him as she ate. “You really have no emotions for anyone,” she said. “No I do, but I save them for the person I love. And not trying to sound rude or anything, but that is not you.” Draco said to her and turned and looked at her and then smiled sarcastically.

Forever, forever
Like scarecrows that fuel this flame we're burning
Forever, and ever
Know how much I want to show you you're the only one
Like a bed of roses there's a dozen reasons in this gun

Merica was so furious that she got up to leave, but before she did she slapped Draco on the face and then left the hall. Unfortunately for her, Hermione was watching the scene unravel before her so when Merica left, Hermione excused herself from her friends and followed Merica out the doors. “Excuse me, Merica? That is your name right?” Hermione yelled. Merica turned around and said snootily, “Yeah, what’s it to you mudblood?” By now Draco followed Hermione out and heard those words exchanged from Merica’s mouth. “Who do you think you are calling my girlfriend a mudblood you brat?” Draco said as he walked over to Merica and Hermione slowly followed.

“What are you going to do?” Merica said to him and scrunched her nose up, “you can’t hit me, I’m a girl and I know Malfoy’s have too much dignity to smack one.” She smiled thinking she had won. “Yeah he can’t, but I can.” Hermione said and smacked Merica across the face as hard as she could. Merica covered her face with her hands and ran up the stairs and to her room crying. “Well that takes care of that…” Hermione said and turned to Draco who was smiling down at her. “Yeah, no doubt about that,” he said and picked up Hermione and twirled her around. “Ahhh, Draco!” Hermione giggled, and then Draco set her down. “So what are you plans for today?” Draco asked offering his arm to Hermione. “I don’t know, maybe do some reading and walking around.” Hermione said taking his arm as they walked off into the library.

-1 month later-

By now everyone knew about Draco and Hermione, some accepted it and some didn’t. But it didn’t matter to the couple, they didn’t really care what people thought anymore, it had almost ruined their relationship once and they didn’t want to put it in any more danger then it had already been it. Draco and Hermione graduated from Hogwarts, but Draco’s father would not speak to him and his mother was not allowed to under the rule of Draco’s father. Hermione’s parents were a lot different from Draco’s; they welcomed him with open arms, so that made both Hermione and Draco happy. So they decided they would try to live by themselves, build a family on their own, and get jobs. And they did just that, they have now a beautiful baby boy, named Rain Malfoy and they are married and are living a life of happiness. One that Hermione said they would, living it the way they planned on to.

And as we're falling down, and in this pool of blood
And as we're touching hands, and as we're falling down
And in this pool of blood, and as we're falling down
I'll see your eyes, and in this pool of blood
I'll meet your eyes, I mean this forever
