When an old enemy of Aragorn's resurfaces, he decides to strike at the ranger's family. As a deadly force hits the very heart of Rivendell, Legolas makes an impulsive decision. With two of the dearest people to his heart dying and Rivendell under danger of an attack, Aragorn will risk everything.
Hee, hee. Sound good, eh? Well, that story should take a while to come up… but I think it will be good.
And for the Author's Notes for the "Of Blood" Trilogy!
*begins to laugh insanely* Woo hoo! Trilogy is OVER WITH! *starts to choke* Ack, ack…
Oops, I don't mean to give the impression that I didn't have fun writing it. No, way. I had so much fun! I think it's the most well written thing done by me yet. (I'm improving!) And I love my OCs to death. *hugs everyone* I bet you are super glad Daemîr isn't dead. Well, except for those who think like Eluross and really get annoyed with our imposter prince.
Okay, here's the totally unnecessary author's notes at the end of the chapter. Here I will ramble aimlessly for a few pages, kinda like those people at the academy awards… "I would like to thank… I did this because… I just keep rambling because…" You get the general idea. ;)
THE OFFICIAL AUTHOR NOTES FOR "OF BLOOD"
Now, for the biggest question of all time: Where did the idea for Amélith come from?
Easy. How many people have seen Inu Yasha? Amélith = Sesshou Maru. I got the inspiration while I was in a leetle Inu Yasha obsession. Yeah, I didn't come up with the idea all on my own. -_- Did anyone notice how alike those characters can be? Although I think Amélith is a little subtler than Lord Fluffy. Fluffy never uses politics. He just slices people in little bitty pieces.
Another question you have all probably been asking: Who the heck is Rîn, anyway? And who is Malbeth?
Malbeth is actually a canon character that I have never seen anyone use in a fan fic. So I took the liberty of changing him a bit. In the original books, he was a seer that helped the last king of Gondor. He predicted that Aragorn would use the paths of the dead in ROTK. But he was in fact human, so he would have died long before this story took place. So I modified him a bit.
I tend to think that Rîn is in fact neither elf nor human. Actually, I hate to say it, but I think is one of the maiar. Perhaps not a wizard, but one of the maiar that took a home in Middle-earth. Yeah, I know that's pretty AU, but I warned you before. However, some sources say there is evidence of maiar living in Middle-earth… just the only few mentioned are the wizards. He is one of my favorite OCs, because if he really is that powerful, than there are a million ways to use him in plots. He is also addicted to tea. Strange, but all major power characters have some weird quirk.
Next question you are most likely yelling: Is Raun in fact a traitor? How come you never told us whether he is or not?
His name means "Deviant." Well, when I was writing the first draft, Raun originally was an innocent elf that just took the border guard captain spot. But then I noticed that whenever Amélith took a step forward, Raun was always there. And then I noticed how easy it would have been for Raun to had been a traitor the whole time…
But I'm not answering this one. I probably will tell you in a later story. But for now, know this: Raun could be a cold-blooded supporter of the rebellion, or he could have been in all the wrong places at the wrong times. I will not say which. Choose your answer for yourself! Do you personally think he is a double agent?
Oh, and how you pronounce his name, is "Rown" not "Rahn." I always get this confused. ;_;
Next question: What's up with the lackeys?
Gotta love the lackeys. They are so evilly adorable. Niphred is so scary, Echil is so innocent and Rammas is the sound voice of logic.
Revised question: Okay, then. Why is Niphred so evil and yet Echil and Rammas so not?
Rammas and Echil… they are quite the mystery. I fear I will not be revealing too much more about them. Their entire history and reasoning will be explained in future stories. So YES you can expect them both to show up again. (Some of you are probably cheering, others are probably groaning.) These two strange elves—like Raun—shall remain shrouded in secrecy. As for Niphred he's an assassin that takes his duties very seriously… and is seriously annoyed when Legolas escapes him at every turn, thus his continuing grudge against Leggy.
And my favorite topic of all… What's Daemîr's past?
Daemîr is interesting. But I'm not answering this question yet, either. His past will come into play in later plots so if I reveal them now… it's all ruined! Hee, hee, just as a hint though, remember the name Chaos…
But I'm rambling and rambling so I'll sign off for now. See ya'll later!
