I've revamped up my comments now that I know more about fanfics

Sydney ran through the alley, wearing nothing but a t-shirt covered by a jacket, sweat pants, and comfortable jogging shoes, hoping she wouldn't be caught. She was about to look behind her, but a black BMW screeched to a halt in front of her. The door swung open as she heard gunshots behind her. She quickly removed her 9mm from her waistband as she got in, knowing that there was no other way, she was partially surprised at who was sitting in the driver's seat, but she had expected this irony. She knew this would be a bad day.

"Get me to the airport" Sydney said as she pointed the gun at Sark's head, pulling over a ski mask at the same time.

"There is no need for the mask Ms. Bristow, because, as you can tell, I already know it's you!" Sark replied smugly.

As soon as he finished talking, the car sped off into the night, heading for the airport.

Sydney pulled off the mask as soon as she was sure that no one would see her driving in a car with Sark, her mortal enemy. She spent the ride with a gun pointed at Sark's head while looking out the window at the scenery that she knew she would never see again as tears ran down her face. The ride to the airport was in complete silence.

As soon as they arrived at LAX, Sark took a route to a private runway. Sydney recognized the area that Sark had been heading toward, but what she didn't know, was that Sark had planned to accompany her.

--Flashback: The Previous Day--

Sydney entered the CIA building in broad daylight, with one goal on her mind, get in, give her resignation and get out.

What she didn't expect was to find herself on the "Wanted" List, in the top ten non the less. She ran out of the building and sped away in her convertible just as security was notified she arrived.

She cried the whole ride home, knowing what she had to do. She had to leave her life behind. She had to leave her father, Vaughn, Weiss, Dixon and everyone else.

She scrambled her belongings together and quickly scribbled a note, with her favorite saying, iTruth Takes Time/i.

After she left her home, she went to a drugstore, picked up some items to change her appearance and found a motel to stay at, until they found her.

She stayed the night and woke up the next morning at 5:30 am, getting ready for her morning jog. Just as she was about to head out, she looked out the window to admire the sunrise. She suddenly saw about five black vans head into the parking lot, all with agents from the CIA, including her friends and family.

She pried the window open, took the bag that she already packed before she was going to jog, and dropped out the window. She ran down a nearby alley, hoping she wouldn't be caught.

--End Flashback--

"Sark, what are you doing" Sydney asked, wondering what he was doing in a private runway.

"Well, we're at the airport. I'm just heading toward my private jet. Commercial flights are always so icky" Sark replied, smirking

"Why?" Sydney asked, suspiciously.

"It's quite simple. I could never say no to a 'damsel in distress'!" Sark answered, completely serious.

The statement earned him a slap, causing him to swerve due to the slight pain, but it didn't seem to bother Sydney.

Sydney realized that this was her only way out, out of reach from the CIA and agencies hunting her, and out of the life that she had been plucked from for two years.

"Where to, love?" He asked as they boarded his private jet

There was only one place Sydney felt safe, "Rome" she replied, staring out the window of the jet, silently saying goodbye to all the family and friends that she was choosing to leave behind. A tear escaped from her eye, and as it slipped down her cheek, the jet began to move.
