Oh What A Beautiful Morning

The day started like any other she got up, meditated for an hour, showered, dressed and went to breakfast. T'Pol was not a person who showed her feelings, she was Vulcan, she was taught to supress them. Sometimes it was hard listening to Trip and Captain Archer talk about dreams they had, laugh at something they thought was funny or cry because something terrible had happened, like tha attack on Earth. She was on her way to the Captaoin's Mess when she noticed that something was wrong, she was singing to herself. T'Pol never sang and even if she did she had never heard this song in her life, "Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day, I've got a wonderful feeling, Everything's going my way." To say that this scared T'Pol was an understatement and she quickened her pace, maybe the captain would be able to help her. When she entered the Captain's Mess she saw that neither Trip nor aptain Archer was there, she took this time to try and figure out for herself what was going on. "Commander Tucker to the Captain's Mess" The sound of Trip's vopice tore T'Pol from her train of thaught. "Yes Commander." "Hey T'Pol, I can't join you and the cap'n for breakfast I'm in sickay." "Are you all right?' "Yes I'm fine, I just twisted my ankle I'll see you guys for lunch." Then he was gone, Trip's behaviour startled T'Pol usually if he hurt himself he would start going into detail as to how and she had to beg him to shut up. Before she could think about it anymore the door opened ad in walked Captain Archer. T'Pol caught her breath, he was so gorgeous she heard a romantic instrumental playing as he seemed to walk towards her in slow motion. What she didn't know was that he was hearing the same music as he wstched her face, noting her breathing, looking into her deep brown eyes. e sat down and they just stared at each other, saying nothing. The silence was bropken when Chef came in with their breakfast. "Um.. Commander Tucker won't be able to join us this morning, he twisted his ankle and is in sickbay." Archers heart sored, he and T'Pol would be eating alone! "What happened?' "He didn't say." "That's not like him." Archer said as he watched T'Pol bring her fork up to her mouth. She was so beautiful. "I know. Captain can I tell you something?" Archer stopped eating and nodded. "This morning something incredibly strange happened to me, I was singing to myself walking down the corridor and I had a daydream." Her voice was quite and he could tell that this was not to go beyond the two of them. "You know the same thing hapened to me, maybe it's as a result of an anomoly." "Yes perhaps. Are you finished?' He nodded and they rose from the table as they did so their hands touched, suddenly music filled the room and they started dancing and singing to each other.

As the chorus ended T'pol ran towards Archer who lifted her up over his head and kept her there as they sang . As they finished the song he lowered her down and they kissed. Suddenly the ship lurched...

That Night "Captain Log, It turns out that T'Pol and I were not the only people on board the enterprise singing lately. The spur of the moment singing was apparently caused by an anomoly in the expanse, although I must say it was the weirdest one to date. Commander Tucker twisted his ankle dancing to and singing 'I'm Singing In The Rain' while he was in the shower. Phlox fixed him up good as new. Now if you'll excuse me I have a date to get to." "Jonathan are you ready?' "I'll be right there T'Pol."
