Prologue—

Today a new crystal caravan will set out from Tipa. Their journey will take them into the vast world surrounded by the deadly miasma. Their duty is to fill the crystal chalice with myrrh so our town will once again be safe for another year. Who knows what hardships are ahead of our new caravan. May they return safely...

It was early; the morning dew still lay untouched on the green grass. The sun could be seen on the horizon, ready to rise to the day of the cavern.

Jinjarumus walked quietly through the village, admiring the morning life; then headed up to the cliff, which hung over the sea. This had always been a place for the Yuke to go when he wanted to be alone and think.

At the same time, Derin lay awake in his bed; he hadn't been able to get any sleep. The Clavat was too excited—the day had finally arrived. Ruu Mai paced her room, and eventually left for the living room, where she found her Selkie family waiting. Yirath wandered through his house, speaking shortly to family members, and then wandering on; he was both nervous and eager. Few, Xelmi, Kelshiru, and Raylia, were able to sleep until it was their time to wake. Too Karu sat outside his house and stared at the flowing water of Tipa's river, entranced by the ripples of dark blue.

Jinjarumus sat down on the rough ground and sat there until the sun had fully risen, and it was time for the crystal caravan to set out. It was time to leave old memories behind and to begin anew.

"Jinjarumus? It's time to get going," Xelmi had come looking for him.

His smile was hidden by his helmet, "Yes. Yes it is."

Yeah, I know... It's really short, and kind of repetitive to the game. The next chapters will hopefully get longer (and more interesting) then this! But in the mean time, I'd greatly appreciate it if you reviewed! ^-^
