Chapter 1

Author’s Notes – This fiction is because I cry when I hear the song, I cry when I see that episode, and they fit perfectly. For once I don’t mind you not reviewing, I just needed to write this, and maybe I’ll stop crying! The song is by The Calling.

Pairings – Sam and Jack

     As Sam stood gazing through the glass into his eyes, she remembered everything they had been through together. Every battle they had fought. Every time they had been close to kissing, but hadn’t quite done it.

     Lastly she remembered what he had said in her lab before they had left to find Atlantis. She remembered the cd he had given her, the one in her pocket, next to her heart. How he had told her to listen to it if anything happened to him. That if he could, he would come back to her. That if he could, he wouldn’t leave her.

     Then she cried as she realized the one thing they had never said to each other and she whispered it through the glass to him:

     “I love you Jack!”

     She took out her cd walkman. Funny thing to carry around with her, but Sam had a secret obsession with music, and if she needed to get to sleep off world, she would listen to her cds. This time she didn’t want to sleep, she just wanted to stay here, with Jack, forever.

     She put the cd he had given her in the walkman and pressed play. She collapsed to her knees in front of him as the song played and cried into her arms.

     When Bra’tak reached the planet, he found Daniel and Teal’c watching Sam as she cried and sang to Jack.
