Melora stared out into the ocean thinking about her pirate captain, Jack Sparrow. He was surprising, because he always had a plan for whatever situation they were in. She wanted to be the one he woke up to, and the one he shared all his worries with. He was a man used to being on his own and dealing with whatever came his way alone. She hated that he couldn't talk to anyone, being a Captain the decisions fell solely to him. **

Making Jack hot milk after he woke up from a dream about Chasity seemed all she could do at the moment, but Melora couldn't help but think that it wasn't enough. She wished she could do more for him.

Will I take tender tender care of you?

Will I be there to make you strong and to lean on?

When this world has turned so cold

Will I be the one that's there to hold?

She knew that Chasity had hurt him, but she didn't know what she did. She didn't want to know in a way, because she wasn't sure that it would help her help him. Well, maybe it would help him not have so many nightmares.

But, that was a big help, in any case. She's glad she hadn't told Chasity that Jack was there. She probably would've tried to take him back on her ship. Melora knew she was a pirate by looking at her. Melora resolved not to let Chasity hurt him again.

Melora had strange feelings for Jack. Was it love? She wasn't sure, but she knew that she never felt that way before in all her twenty six years of life. If it was indeed love, there were upsides and down sides, just like in everything.

Melora looked at Jack sleeping on the settee. He was taking an afternoon nap. She promised to always be there for Jack, and that Chasity would not find him. Sleep well, Captain Jack Sparrow. I wish you nothing but good dreams, she thought on her way out to the front garden.
