Summary: Darien breaks Serena’s heart. Raye comes in into the picture to help Serena recover but
tried not spill her true feelings for her princess, not until Serena’s ready. But what if
Serena’s recovery was too soon that Raye didn’t even realize that someone else has already
conquered her princess heart? Again, Raye was left alone, struggling for her feelings to
the blue eyed-angel.

I’ll be there – Chapter 1

Serena ran as fast as she could through the dark streets of Tokyo, her body is wet from

the rain that mixes with the tears that falls from her eyes. When she turned into a corner, she

accidentally slipped, her face made contact with the cold street. She didn’t even try to get up.

She just laid there, letting all her anger and sorrow out by crying, unconcern if someone walks

up on her. “Why Darien? Why?” she whispered in the cold silence of the night as turned back

on the events just a few hours ago.

FLASHBACK:

Serena walks in the quiet streets of Tokyo. It was night but the moon doesn’t shine

like it always does. In fact, it’s nowhere to be seen but she didn’t mind that much. She was so

happy and excited ‘coz it was her and Darien’s anniversary. They are one year already and she

can’t believe it. She decided to pay Darien a surprise visit in his apartment and ask him to go

out. Little that she knows, she was the one who’s in for a BIG surprise.

After minutes of walking, Serena finally reached Darien’s apartment. She knocked on the

door but no one’s answering. Remembering that Darien gave her a spare key, she unlocked the

door and went in. She browsed the apartment but no Darien was found. She looked in his

room but no one was there. She went back in the living room and was startled when the front door

finally opens, revealing a slightly drunk Darien with his arms wrap around a sexy red-haired

girl, wearing a mini skirt and black spaghetti straps with make-up.

Serena stood there, frozen. She can’t believe what she’s seeing. She wanted to think that

it was just a nightmare, a big joke but deep inside her, she knows it’s real...very real. She turned

her attention from the red-haired girl to her so-called boyfriend who was just as shock as her.

“S-Serena,” Darien stammered, unwrapping his arms around the girl’s shoulder who just

glared at him. “What are you doing here?”

Serena arched her brows like he just said the dumbest thing ever. “What am I doing here?!”

She asked, placing her hands on her hips. She can feel her anger building up, especially when she

looks at the bitch beside the asshole. “Isn’t it suppose to be OUR anniversary??!!”

Darien just stared at the very angry Serena, his eyes turning cold and annoyed. “Serena,

look, I think this relationship of ours is hopeless. It won’t work out...I think it’s tiresome.

You can’t provide my needs...and I want something more.” Darien finishes and wraps his arms

around the waist of his NEW girl. “I’m sorry.” Darien said those two words like Serena was just

a toy that he got tired of and now that he found something new, he would just dump her.

Serena looked at his ex and his girl with fire in her eyes. She clenched her fists and gritted

her teeth. She’s breathing heavily, controlling her tears that are threatening to fall. No, she won’t

cry...not in front of him. She’ll stay strong...for now and then maybe, when he’s out of her sight,

that’s the time she’ll let her tears fall, take all the grief that she’s feeling out.

Serena stood straight and took a deep breath. She pushed her way pass between Darien

and the girl. When she was out, rain started falling and so as her misery.

And now here she was, alone, releasing all the stress and emotions that she’s feeling all at

once. She can feel the exhaustion taking over her whole body. She was so tired that she didn’t

realize someone approaching her.

“Serena...” a soft voice whispered, like she can feel what Serena is going through.

Serena looked up, and despite of the rain and the tears that’s making her vision blurry, she

could never not recognize her best friend. The person who always knows when she’s hurting, who

shows up during times like this. Looking at those kind dark purple eyes, Serena burst into tears.

“Raye...” Serena whispered and sobbed while clutching her friend’s dress. “He dumped me...just like

that.” Serena tore her gaze away from her friend’s, feeling sorry for herself.

Raye looked at her best friend’s form with compassion and concern. A part of her wanted to

go to that jerk that caused so much pain to her princess and teach him a lesson; that nobody can

hurt her princess without paying the consequences. ‘That son of a bitch will pay...yes he will.’ Raye

thought, swearing bloody death to the guy that made her angel cry. Bu for now, her princess needs

her and she will do nothing but to stay on her side until she was told to go.

Looking at the girl in front of her, Raye can’t help herself but conceal her with a tight but gentle,

warm embrace, letting Serena know that she’s just there and she’ll always be.
