In the starlight, his hand rises dreamlike to brush against the cold glass, longing to touch the reflection of that which is forever beyond his reach. To touch him again, warm and real and alive.

Tonks has followed him: she cannot see what he sees, but she doesn't need to. Her eyes cloud with tears, even after so long, to see him still in such pain...

His eyes are dry; she doesn't think he has any tears left to shed.

The grief will consume him if she lets this go on. "Remus," she murmurs, touching his arm. "Let him go."
