DaisukeAizawa: I have actually done something with Suguru when he was 16 with K, so don’t worry about it, lol! I actually looked up the age for “of age” sex and its around 15-16 in Japan according to the site I was at. Made me feel better about pimping Suguru out so much! And yes, Terry was awesome in supplying me with the line!

Anon: Thank you! I’m glad mine is one of the good ones out there. I lost my muse for a long time and I’ve been trying to get it back, to be honest. Fiction and writing seems to have come back in me, though, so I’m getting the last bits of this written as best I can. I promise I’ll work on it more!

Interlude

It had been a long night, one of the longest that Tokyo hospital had seen. At the moment, all Dr. Naigai wanted to do was to go home to his wife and sleep. But, as his wife was a large fan of the person he was currently watching over, he knew going home was not an option. So much had already gone to the recovery of the poor child, yet nothing could be done. He had been in and out of consciousness, but Dr. Naigai doubted the youth knew so.

He remembered the exact day it happened, too. He was the only surgeon working that night, as most had gotten tickets to the biggest concert in Tokyo. He had been the unlucky one who was not able to get any and his wife had managed to get a ticket out of her friend to go. In a way, he was glad that he had missed it.

Tiredly, he glanced up at the clock before picking up the phone at the nurses’ station. The situation was getting desperate and, as much as he did not want to do this, Dr. Naigai knew he had to. There was a specialist in this field overseas and he had to take his chances with this man. So much was riding upon it.

Hello?”

Here goes nothing. “Hello,” the doctor tried in his best English. “My name is Dr. Naigai at Tokyo hospital. I have a patient that needs help, mainly your help.”

There was a pause at the other end of the line. “Send me his file and I will contact you no later than tomorrow on the dates I am able to see the patient.”

The doctor nodded, writing down a note to send the information. “You do not know how much this means to many people here, sir.”

It is no problem. I must ask, though, who is this patient? How important are they?”

The doctor smiled softly. “I must ask, Doctor, how familiar are you with the music industry in the Japan country?”

Not even a week later, Dr. Naigai was at the airport, waiting to pick up the specialist. Dr. Macron had called not even an hour after the files were sent to him, telling the tired surgeon that he would arrive at the airport a few days later. He had been alarm at the condition spoken of and wanted to see it immediately, in case something was wrong. He couldn’t leave a patient hanging, it went against his own personal code.

“How long has the patient been in his condition?”

Dr. Naigai moved into the elevator to the parking garage. “Next Tuesday will mark a year, doctor. His benefactor is quite worried about him.”

“I had always wondered why that band stopped suddenly. My niece follows them in America. I assume that the press doesn’t want to get fans worried so they haven’t said anything?” Dr. Macron sighed as the elevator doors opened. “Why hasn’t the band moved on?”

“They did attempt to find a replacement, but the singer is stubborn and refused. The boy’s cousin keeps the media silent, though.” Dr. Naigai opened the doors of his car. “Is there anything you believe you can do?”

Dr. Macron was silent for a long while, thinking over in his head all the past procedures he had done. “I have to see the boy, first. Then we can talk of cures for him. Until then, I cannot say.”

Frowning, Dr. Naigai pulled his car out of the airport. The circumstances surrounding his patient were getting heavier. It was difficult to tell when, or if ever, he would pull out. ‘I swear to you,’ the doctor told himself, ‘that I will see you living again. Even if it takes me decades, I will free you from your slumber… Fujisaki Suguru.

I apologize to EVERYBODY for not getting this out sooner! That seems like all I’ve been doing lately, right? I must say that this story has been picking at me for a long time, but never let me actually update it. I had to put SOMETHING in there, so I decided on this. It isn’t exactly an interlude (don’t those come in the middle?), but its better than nothing. It’s a little insight to later happenings. The story is almost done (about another chapter or three). I promise any “loopholes” or questions will be covered (as well as questions to why the hell half the characters seem so out of character). I promise! I have a new story up. It’s just little ficlets and I’m writing that for a contest. I promise, though, that I did not give this one up!
