Hey everyone this is TyChan26 with yet another Yugioh story. In advanced, I would like to thank Lady Nightshade for letting me use her characters, Pernia and Nikushimi in this fic. No ideas were copied and/or plagiarized. This is a fic for Lady Nightshade and I do hope you all enjoy this as well. Based off a dream I had one night.

The usual disclaimer applies, I don't own yugioh, Pernia, and Nikushimi, just Lector and the following events. Thank you!

Chapter 1: Invitation

The season of autumn is upon everyone in Domino City and pumpkins are beginning to harvest. A couple of Domino City residences are very happy about the upcoming holiday.

Kaiba Mansion

The Kaiba household is as usual, busy and occupied to a point of everyone's entertainment.

Seto is at the office as usual while his Wife, Pernia, is at home busy with her half of Kaiba Corporation business, in the den where the home office is located.

"This is all wrong. Who did Seto hire? A bunch of morons?" Pernia says to herself erasing what's on the paper and writing in the corrections. She looks up from the paper she's working on and over to the stack on her right. "Maybe I should be the corporations accountant instead of who he hired."

Pernia sighs and continues working on the document in front of her. Mokuba, then, comes running in the room.

"Pernia, I was looking for you." Mokuba says running in the den and up to the desk. Pernia looks up in surprise at the excited boy.

"I was in here and still am and dealing with this." Pernia says putting the pen down and turning to Mokuba. Mokuba looks over at the paper work to her right.

"You sure are swamped." Mokuba says eyeing the pile.

"I know, but someone has to do it. I don't know who Seto hired, but he seriously should look a bit more closer at those resumes'." Pernia says turning back to the document in front of her and blotting out yet another mistake. "And from the looks of it, they should all be fired."

"Well I'm going to see if the mail came. Something good might come today." Mokuba says running out of the den. Pernia smiles to herself and goes back to work.

In another part of Domino City

In a darkened area of Domino city, in what looks to be in abandoned mansion, someone is lurking around inside. A 5.9-foot, hazel eyed, blonde hair-ed guy to be exact.

"4,000 years, 4,000 years I have searched the earth for the perfect soul to revive love, my dear wife, but it seems no one would do." The guy says as he paces back and forth in front of the open Egyptian tomb. He then stops pacing and walks up to the wrapped figure inside. "Don't worry my love, soon we will be reunited and I will give you the life you always wanted."

"Still talking to dolls are we lector?" A familiar voice to him says as he turns around.

"Nikushimi? Lector asks in surprise. "What are you doing here? I thought you died in that explosion two years ago."

"Only someone like you would make a ridiculous assumption like that. Why doesn't it not surprise me." Nikushimi says leaning against the doorway of the room she has just walked out of.

"That's impossible and I don't believe it's you., no one could survive that explosion. If I nearly got blinded from it, then I know you couldn't have survived it." Lector says snarling at Nikushimi. "Now tell me who you really are."

"If I remember exactly, I got out of the building before it exploded." Nikushimi says crinkling her nose. "Think back and maybe you would actually get a thought to process in that empty brain of yours."

Lector's Flashback

A duel is going on between Seto and Lector over the president position at Kaiba Corporation, with Nikushimi watching from the sidelines with a huge grin on her face. Seto has just laid down a card that rules out Lector's monster on the field.

"Looks like I win again lector, like I always do." Seto says picking up his cards. "Maybe you should take what I said into consideration and I might hand Kaiba Corporation over to you, after I'm dead and gone."

"That's rubbish and you know it. The only reason you won was because you cheated and I will become president of Kaiba Corporation if I have to knock you off now just to do it." Lector yells across the room at Seto, whose expression doesn't change. "I refuse to loose to someone like you."

On his duel top, lector slams his fists down on a button, which leads to fire pipes on the dueling field that begin spitting fire in between them.

"Are you crazy?" Nikushimi yells over the roaring flames. "There is gas on in this place. Damn you Seto."

Seto doesn't say a word, except glare at Lector.

"This duel is about to go up in flames." Lector mocks as he gets off his dueling deck.

"Not even close." Seto says to himself jumping down and escaping before the flames get out of control. Nikushimi runs towards an exit, but the door that she is trying to get through is locked.

"Damn it, the door is locked." Nikushimi says to herself. He looks back in search of Lector, but doesn't find him. "Where did that moron go?"

Lector, who found his way out, has climbed up on the roof, waiting for his helicopter. It finally shows up and a ladder is dropped for him. He jumps on while looking back.

Nikushimi, who finally found a way out, has made it to the roof, can see that lector has made it away.

"I won't forget this you jerk." Nikushimi yells out to him, now hearing a sudden burst of explosions go of behind her.

End of Flashback

"Like I said, you died in the explosion and it nearly blinded me." Lector says turning away from Nikushimi's gaze.

"Yeah only you would say that I did because you got away before you could see me escape. I had finally made it out barely breathing of course." Nikushimi says hissing.

"You should have died. Meeting you was my biggest mistake ever." Lector says as he continues to keep his back to Nikushimi.

"I don't think you should wish bad on your enemies lector. Like they always say, keep your friends close and you enemies even closer." Nikushimi says smiling. "I over heard you talking to your little doll here and I may have just the plan to help you revive your dead wife."

Lector slightly turns to her, but not completely.

"You always have a plan that and it ends up bombing like all your other ideas do." Lector says turning back around.

"I seriously doubt this has any flaws. Would you happen to know a woman by the name of Pernia?" Nikushimi asks now getting Lector's full attention.

"Maybe, but go on." Lector says turning to her.

"Well let's just say I know something you don't and if you cooperate, I'll tell you." Nikushimi says grinning. Lector drops his hardened expression for his curious expression.

"Ok spill." Lector says fully catching Nikushimi's gaze.

"Ok pay attention and pay attention very closely." Nikushimi says walking up to Lector and begins explaining her accusations.

Kaiba Residence

Pernia is continuing to work on the Corporation's financial document, when the maid walks into the room with the mail.

"The mail came Ma'am." The maid says as Pernia looks up.

"Ok Thanks. Just set it down here." Pernia says softly as the maid puts the mail down in front of Pernia. She then walks off.

"I wonder if Seto ever thought about a second mailbox for all the mail we get." Pernia says putting the pen down and picking up the stack of mail. She begins going through it and Mokuba runs in the room.

"I couldn't find the mail, so..."Mokuba's words are cut short when he spots the mail in Pernia's hands.

"The maid brought it in." Pernia says not taking her eyes off the mail. Mokuba runs up to the desk and taking half of the mail from the desk.

"I wonder if something good came today." Mokuba asks himself as he looks through it. His question is soon answered when an odd looking envelope sticks out of the mail like a sore thumb. Mokuba pulls it out of the stack he's holding.

"I wonder what this is." Mokuba says looking it over. Pernia looks from her stack and over to what Mokuba is holding in his left hand.

"Let me see that." Pernia says as Mokuba hands her the envelope. She looks it over and turns to Mokuba.

"It looks like an Halloween Party invite." Pernia says opening the envelope and reading the entire thing. "Yep that's exactly what it is and it's going on Friday night."

"Oh a party Invitation. Who's throwing it?" Mokuba asks in curiosity. Pernia looks the name and finds it on the front heading of the envelope. "By someone by the name of Bratt Horawitz. Probably someone Seto knows."

"How can anyone from the corporation have time to have a party? It's like they are constantly at the office like he is." Mokuba says over looking the Invitation himself.

"Well who knows and when he comes in, I'll ask him about it." Pernia says putting her half of the mail down and smiling at Mokuba. "I have to finish this and the rest of these documents so you go watch a movie and when I'm done, I'll come watch a movie with you."

"Ok. Just don't overwork yourself." Mokuba says smiling back at Pernia. Mokuba puts the half he had down and leaves the room.

Mokuba runs pass the front door and upstairs just as Seto walks through the door.

"I'm home." Seto yells closing the door behind him. No response so he takes off his coat and put is on the rack. He then begins searching for his significant other and tries his luck with the den, where he finds her sitting. Seto sets his briefcase at the door and slowly makes his way over to his wife. He walks up behind Pernia, putting his arms around her, giving her a bit of a surprise.

"You're more interested in those documents then you are me." Seto says in a playful tone.

"I didn't hear you come in." Pernia says leaning back against his chest.

"I could have figure this much." Seto says giving her a butterfly kiss on her left cheek. "I see you are still working on those."

"Yes and I have been all day, since you left this morning." Pernia says taking another document out of the stack she already has. "You really should look closely at those Resumes' before hiring. I had to fix about 250 mistakes and I'm sure more are on the way."

"Will take it into consideration." Seto says giving her one more kiss and taking a seat across from her at the same desk. "What came in the mail today?"

"The usual junk, junk, a couple if bills and a Halloween party invitation." Pernia says handing him her half and the other half Mokuba was holding. "You really should get a second mailbox for all the mail we get everyday."

"I'll definitely consider that too." Seto says now looking through the mail stack. "Well this is the normal, nothing out of the ordinary except the Halloween Party Invitation. I wonder who's having one."

Pernia doesn't say anything and continues to work on the sheet. Seto looks on the desk to find the Invitation and looks it over.

"Bratt Horawitz?" Seto asks out loud.

"One of your business associates I'm guessing?" Pernia asks not taking her eyes off the document.

"Um not for certain, but more then likely." Seto says reading the rest of the Invitation. "A costume party? Doesn't sound like anything I would care to attend."

"Sounds interesting to me." Pernia speaks up, turning to Seto. "I was thinking of going and I'm sure Mokuba would like to attend."

"Mokuba actually wants to go to this?" Seto asks raising his right eyebrow.

"Well he sounded excited about it so my guess is he wants to." Pernia says with a smile. "And I think it's just the break you need from work."

"Going to a Halloween party isn't my idea of a break, but if you want to go, then I guess I can't argue." Seto says leaning forward and kissing Pernia on the lips.

"And?" Pernia whispers to Seto.

"And it would be a change of scenery for Mokuba." Seto says in playful defeat. Seto leans forward and kisses her again, this time longer then before.

"I couldn't find anything good so..." Mokuba calls out coming back in the den, but his words trail off when he spots Seto and Pernia making out. "I didn't know you two had the lung capacity for that."

Seto and Pernia separate upon hearing that. They both straighten up and continue talking.

"As I was saying, I agree and the party will be held Friday night." Pernia finishes. "I just didn't look at where the party will be held."

Seto looks over the invitation to the location of the party. He finds the address on the invite and his mind begins to wonder off, like has heard of that place before.

"215 Madison Manor." Seto says as his words trail off.

"Something wrong Seto?" Pernia asks noticing his expression. Seto snaps out of his world and turns to her.

"No nothing. I'm going to go upstairs for a little bit. When you're done with those, just bring them up to my office." Seto says getting up and leaving with the Invitation in his hand.

"Sure thing Seto." Pernia says fixing the papers on the desk. Seto heads upstairs while trying to figure out where he had once saw and heard that address.

Authoress Notes: Ok end of chapter 1. I hope you all like it and I do apologize if it's long and boring. Promising to get better later on. As I have mentioned before, The idea of the marriage between Seto and Pernia, Pernia and Nikushimi all belong to Lady Nightshade. I'm just borrowing the characters and the marriage Idea, with her permission, for this fic, which is this. Nothing was copied, all ideas were original.
