Ok, this is my first time writing on I'm going to try to make this story as realistic as possible. This is an Emma/Sean. I absolutely love this couple, so please be gentle. If you don't like the couple, don't read it.
Disclaimer: I don't own degrassi or any of the characters
Emma was downstairs in her room, silently fuming as she finished up the last bit of some assignment due Monday. She just had another argument with her parents. It was actually with Snake, but since her mom agreed with him all the time, it might as well have been with both. It started when Emma asked Spike if Sean could come over for dinner that night and then go back to his house to watch movies...
Flashback
"Mom, since its Friday, is it okay if Sean comes over for dinner? We haven't been able to do anything in a long time. Please?" Emma asked, giving her mom a pleading look.
"Sure Em, that's fine with me. You can call him and tell him we're having pizza since I don't have time to cook anything fancy."
"That's ok, Sean really doesn't like fancy much."
Emma was about to go downstairs and call Sean when Snake came into the living room and sat down. "What's going on?"
"Sean is coming over for dinner tonight. Oh, and we're having pizza." Spike said.
"Wait a minute. How come no one told me about this? I expected that we would have a nice, quiet evening together."
"We can still have that with Sean here. And so you won't be disturbed, after dinner, I'm going over to Sean's for us to watch movies. I'll be back by my curfew."
"Sure Em" Spike said as she put Jack down on his blanket.
"Absolutely not." Snake said.
"What? Why not?" Emma didn't see what the problem would be. It's not as if Sean was unbearable to be around. He was actually quite a gentleman when he graced the Nelson-Simpson household with his presence.
"Because I think he has a bad influence on you. He hangs out with Jay and his gang of thugs. His grades are also dropping." Emma rolled her eyes. Leave it to Snake to bring school related issues into an argument.
"He does not hang out with Jay." She said, her aggravation starting to become more evident. "Jay came up to Sean once to ask him something and Sean said no. And as for his grades, there could be a lot of reasons for that. He's just been a little behind."
"It doesn't matter Emma, I said no. He can't come over for dinner and you can't go over his house."
Emma turned to her mother to see her standing in the doorway to the kitchen, looking slightly disappointed and lost in thought over the conversation.
"Mom, please. This isn't fair. I do a lot around here for both of you. Don't you think that Sean staying for dinner isn't too much to ask?"
She gave her daughter a sympathetic look and walked over to sit next to her husband. Snake looked as if he already had an answer to any retort she was about to come up with.
"Snake, he is her boyfriend and she has helped out quite a bit around the house, especially with Jack."
"That's because she is suppose to help out. And don't you have to work late? Who is going to take care of Jack? I'm going to be too tired."
"But he's at the age that he doesn't even wake up in the middle of the night anymore. Besides, I'm going to be back at 8. That's the time that mom will be leaving, so I'll be here." Emma said, thinking that he couldn't throw anymore excuses at her. Apparently, however, she was wrong.
"Emma, I'm just not in the mood for him coming so tell him maybe some other time." He got up and went to the kitchen, signaling the end of the conversation..
Emma was close to tears. She knew that Snake didn't like Sean that much, but it didn't mean that he had to think of every excuse in the book to keep them away from each other.
"Mom?" Her voice was pleading.
"Sorry Em. Maybe tomorrow night, ok?" She kissed her on her fore head and went to talk to Snake.
End Flashback
Emma stormed downstairs after the argument and was currently sitting on her bed, a pillow hugged close to her chest.
She had just called Sean and told him about the change of plans and, though he wasn't exactly thrilled about it, he wasn't completely disappointed. He kind of suspected that something like this would happen. He was about to change the subject when Emma started talking about the conversation she had with her parents and how it had upset her. Sean was trying his hardest to keep his anger down, but he couldn't. Emma was a little taken aback when he abruptly said goodbye and hung up the phone.
What Emma didn't know was that Sean hung up because he could no longer take the sadness in her tone. His feelings for her step-father were also those of pure loathing and he did not want her hearing all of the negative things he thought about the older man at the moment.
'I can't believe what Emma just told me.'
He thought as he all but put a hole in the wall with his fist.
'Her parents are such freaks. I know Mr. Simpson might not think I'm a model citizen, and he's right, but that doesn't mean he can bully Emma around like that. Her voice was cracking up over the phone. Mr. Simpson must have really upset her. And Emma never gets upset over something like this. I wish I could make her feel better with out beating Mr. Simpson into a bloody pulp...wait..that would make ME feel better, not Emma. Well, this may not be the best thing to do, but I have to see her.'
Sean arrived at Emma's house in 20 minutes. He didn't think it was best to go through the front door, so he decided to go through the window of her basement.
'I'm glad Emma always keeps her window open in the spring' He thought as he slid through the opening.
The first thing..or person he saw when he entered was Emma. She was lying on her bed with her back facing him, humming a soft tune to herself. Sean was immediately mesmerized. Even with her back to him, she was radiant.
Sean quietly walked over to her bed and lay down next to her. Emma, thinking it was her mom, stayed still and kept humming. Sean got closer to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. Emma was in shock and she gasped when she turned around to see Sean smiling down at her.
"Sean!" She whispered happily as she hugged him.
"What are you doing here? If Snake came down here and saw you here he would flip."
"Then let him flip. It's so unfair what they are doing to you. And I know that you don't want me to interfere, so I thought I would come here and cheer you up. Is it working?" He asked with a grin.
Emma smiled at him and said, "What do you think?"
Then she leaned forward and kissed him gently on the lips. When they pulled away, they were both out of breath.
"So, what do we do now? It's not like we can make noise because Spike and Snake here everything."
"I don't know, but whatever it is has to be good because I'm with you right now." His hand caressed her cheek as he said that. "You know, you are so beautiful right now. It's all I can do to just sit here and not take you away."
"Sean, you're such a flirt." She commented and they both laughed, enjoying being in each other's company. They didn't even notice how loud their laughter was until there was a knock on the basement door...
