*My Voice*

I know that my voice isn't perfect
That it makes people turn from me
Why is it so hard to reason
With people who don't want to see?

A voice is a special quality
Something that belongs to you only
So tell me why am I left here
With nights that are sad and lonely?

I really want someone to love
Why is that hard to understand?
Why does the sound of my voice
Determine the touch of my hand?

Just because I sound a little rough
Doesn't mean I don't know how to care
A voice as bad as mine
Can still speak of things to share.

There's one special girl that I want
I've known her for quite some time.
But how can a woman like her
Love someone with a voice like mine?
