An Ending

I hear no voice in the wind,

No murmur in the rivers,

And no whisper as the grass rustles.

Such silence, as the sky seems to darken.

The Valar have forsaken us;

It is the end.

All the struggling,

All my attempts to stop him,

To save my people,

Have come to naught;

The ships have left.

My heart breaks with the land.

Little note: I was sitting in the car very bored and this popped into my head. I changed a few words and ping its a poem for Miriel. : ) review please - I don't like writing poetry and I'm wanting feedback!
