Just because he is of the opposite sex of me,

Doesn't mean we are meant to be.

Just because I'm his favorite girl,

Doesn't mean I'm his world.

Just because I gave him a friendly kiss,

Doesn't mean I am the one he's going to miss.

Just because I get some of his famous smiles,

Doesn't mean my heart loops for miles.

Just because he sits next to me,

Doesn't mean I am the only one he sees.

Just because I am with him most of the time,

Doesn't mean he's mine.

Just because I am his friend,

Does mean I will see him through the end.
