The Truth

Everyone runs from it
They think they can hide from it,
But in the end they'll find
You can never escape the truth.

You can try to burry it
Under tons of lies and deceit,
But it will find you
Just the same.

You committed a crime
Some thing unspeakably horrible,
So you run, but you'll still find
You can never escape the truth.

"How do I know?" you ask.
It is simply a fact.
No matter how hard or far you run,
You can never escape the truth.

You can try to hide
Under the covers
Of lies,
But it will still find you.

It is a force
Almost mystical
In its judgment and trial,
But it is still the truth, and it's never wrong.

So, make your life pure
Now while you still can
Because if you don't, you'll find
You can never escape the truth.
