AUTHOR'S NOTE: usually I'm not the Mulder and Scully kinda type (well I once was, but before the whole William Story)
but when I had this 'story' finished, I couldn't think of any other couple matchin' this.
So it's Scully's point of view after Mulder disappearing, well in my version he disappeared a little 'different'
Reviews are always welcome in my house, so feel like home and tell me 'the truth'
A lousy letter is all
that is left;
words on a paper with enormous heft
telling of never-ending devotion
killing the very last emotion.
telling me how it came
speaking of guilt and who's to blame
fate the goodness's best friend
it's his fault at the very end.
You say there
is nothing to regret
you were perfect not that bad
and me I was the ideal of a woman
and it was so unexpected how this came.
You say it is
we'll sit and laugh about it some day
you say that the we
is finally turning back into you and me.
You say so
much through your letter
but do you really think this makes it better?
I guess it's my turn to take the word
to tell you a few things should heard.
I guess I could tell you
how much I grieve
that even one line I did ever believe
I could tell you that my heart almost broke
through the words the paper spoke.
I could, but I
you think I still love you? - I don't
but one thing's for sure
for you I won't be upset no more.
I just wanna know who
you think you are?
only leaving a letter after breakin' a heart?
A simple good bye would have done it's work,
but you had to leave me as the jerk.
I know you won't believe
but the day I am laughing is today
we'll see how all of this is going to end
and of course as you said, I'll be your friend.
