Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, for if I did, Gaara/Naruto would be so obvious it would practically slap you in the face (sheepish sweatdrop smile)

There are many things in life that annoy Gaara of the Sand. Weak shinobi was one of them. Another thing that annoyed Gaara were those who rejected the unfamiliar. He had to deal with them all the time, but even after all his years, they still annoyed him.
Naruto also annoyed Gaara, though only just. Because everything about Naruto that annoyed Gaara, also made his heart pound and something close to a smile flash across his lips. Perhaps it was because they were so similar, but any way, Gaara knew he was putty in Naruto's hands.
It annoyed him, but he could live with it. Especially if it meant that Naruto would continue to shower him with affection, the acceptance that only another who had been cursed with a demon inside of them could muster.
Gaara couldn't live without the loving caresses anymore, and he wouldn't know what to do if he never again woke up to the tousled blonde hair and whiskered cheeks that belonged to Uzumaki Naruto. His lover and his, foreign as the word was to him, friend.
He had once found the boy annoying as hell, but Naruto had changed that opinion rapidly enough. Now the only thing annoying about Naruto was when the blond was too engrossed in training to have a little fun; but then, Gaara was like that too.
Gaara smirked as Naruto wrapped his arms around his waist from behind, nipping at his ear.
Gaara found Naruto far from annoying that night.
