"Do you always ask so many questions?"
"You're nothing like your sister."
"I'm more like her than you know. And different also. People are, you know. Different."
Seamus rolls his eyes. Ravenclaws. Why did they always have to try and complicate things?
"You Gryffindors. Assuming that if someone doesn't agree with you, they're wrong. You think I can't tell by the way you roll your eyes?" Padma grins, then. "You're getting upset, Seamus. You're taking this seriously."
Seamus was surprised. And yes, he was upset, and now to top it all he felt stupid for feeling upset, and was feeling confused for feeling so many things at once and didn't know what, exactly, he was supposed to feel.
Padma laughed again, softly. She grasped his hand as she leaned over and kissed his cheek. "Talk to me when you're calmer, okay?"
Seamus started after her, surprised and not knowing quite what to think.
