Author’s Note: First of I’d lie to say thank you to everyone who had to put up with my noob writing and actually reviewed this fanfic. This was written around the time I was eleven going onto twelve or so. I was damn young and I sucked at writing. But anyway, I am currently fifteen and up for revising my fanfics. This is one of my satisfying fanfics and I’m actually happy with it. I promised a sequel but I broke it…sorry. I’ve lost interest in the FFX category. Perhaps ONE day I will write a new fanfic…

I. The Mission
Always Watching Over You

A look of concern overtook his face, biting the end of his fist lightly as a nervous habit, watching silently at the figure before him. Another man joined him, looking at him with great relief. The nervous man suddenly turned to him, snapped out of his trance and worriedly asked, "Will she be okay?” His voice was shaky but the doctor before him couldn’t blame him. He examined his clipboard, writing down some notes before looking up to respond. "Well, you're daughter has a few cuts and bruises on her legs and stomach, but nothing serious. The swelling on her lips will recover, and she'll be out looking normal in no time."

"Thank you doctor...you have no idea how much I'm so grateful."

Braska only looked at her once more before being led away. The sleeping figure before him unable to move opened her eyes slowly before falling into a coma.

Braska sat on his couch as he thought about the horrible things that have been going on for the last two weeks. His daughter was well, but he still felt insecure. With him being an important icon of course he had to be paranoid about these things. But he would have felt safer if it was he who was being targeted rather than his beloved daughter, Yuna. A deep voice suddenly snapped his thoughts. "Mr. President?” Braska looked up. “We've managed to track down the best undercover AND bodyguard there is." He looked up and nodded, standing up.

"Contact him as soon as possible, my daughter needs to be safe immediately before that Seymour Guado strikes back." With that he went to look for his daughter.

Zanarkand: Bank
4:00 o' clock

"Gippal,” A deep voice whispered against the radio he held against his lips. His blue eyes scanned for his partner. “I need you to do me an important task. And don’t mess up or we'll fail this mission." Tidus pleaded. Gippal nodded under the radio and got his gun ready. He removed his eye patch, looking around for any signs of the enemy and placed it back on before heading out with his partner covering him. "I need you to sneak into the back door of the bank and one by one get all the victims to safety.".

"How? They'll catch me." Gippal said, quickly hiding under a desk. He than wondered if his partner had suddenly gotten mad after years of doing countless missions. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, mentally promising himself to stay alive for the mission for his date.

Tidus rolled his eyes at the radio. "I'll distract him man. Just leave that to me, now go!" Tidus waited for a while and then ran into the lobby of the bank. He tackled the robber as they both struggled to get the only gun. Tidus got the gun and shot him in his leg where he fell on the floor screaming in pain. The robber screamed in pain, dropping the bag of money he had planned so hard to steal.

“Shit…” Tidus cursed, wiping the blood stains on his pants. Gippal stood next to him with a smirk.

"Good work Ti!" Gippal said.

Tidus snorted, placing his gun away. "Come on, let's head back to headquarters, I have to do a damn report now.” If it was one thing he couldn’t stand about police work it was that he had to do paper work right after wards. They never gave him a break about it, he nearly got fired for poor penmanship…that is until he figured out he could type the damn thing. Gippal chuckled.

“No can do…I’ve got a date tonight.” He said. The two exited the bank as the rest of the swat team quickly rushed in to investigate. Tidus couldn’t help but laugh at his statement and patted him hard on the back. "Oh, really!? You finally get yourself a woman! Congrats man." Tidus teased.

Gippal gently removed his friend’s arm away. "Whatever, man. You're the one who hadn't dated in two years! So you shouldn't be talking!"

This caused Tidus to punch him on the arm. "Yeah, well I'm dedicated to my work." He stated. Gippal only punched him back before getting into the car.

….

There was a loud burst of laughter before a buffed up man entered the office. He crossed his arms, pointing at Tidus who sat with a beer in his hand. "Yo! Tidus! Stop slacking around and come here, you've got a new assignment." He yelled. “Brotha, you shouldn’t be drinking in front of your new client either. Put it away.” He said.

"Already?" Tidus whispered, leaving his partner to take the rest of his beer. He walked into Wakka's office and sat on a chair. "So, what's the assignment now?"

Wakka crossed his arms. "I really don't know brudda. You'll have t go to the President's place so he'll fill you in." Wakka said. "There's a driver waiting for you outside, don't mess up Tidus."

The cocky agent couldn’t help but smirk and in reply he asked, "Do I ever?" He walked downstairs and as promised a limo waited for him in the parking lot. His first reaction was the big smile smacked on to his face and quickly made his way to it. "Nice!" He got in and sat, his eyes wondering to the inside until he saw that he wasn’t alone. He nearly pulled out his own gun until he realized the man before him looked familiar.

“Ah…hello.” He said, scratching the back of his head. “President Braska…I knew I would have to work for a president I just didn’t imagine it was the president of this country…”

Braska couldn’t help but smile at his joke.”We’ll we heard great things about you, Agent Gellar."

Tidus crossed his legs, sitting back. "Well Agent Gellar, to cut to the point I have an important assignment. A week ago my daughter was attacked by her...former acquaintance named Seymour Guado. We found his criminal files, they were really shocking. He was arrested for rape and abuse. We believe that he may strike back, at her. He wants her dead...so I need you Agent Tidus Gellar to protect her at all times." He explained.

Suddenly Tidus had a serious expression on his face. "If you don't mind, may I see his files?" Tidus asked. One of his bodyguards handed him the file as Tidus grabbed it from him. "Seymour Guado…huh? I've heard of him...never thought I'd be the one to hunt him down. Alright, I accept this mission!" Tidus said. He shook The President's hand and smiled.

"We'll be arriving the while house shortly." Braska said. "You'll meet my daughter." He said. Tidus nodded and turned to the great big white house that was there before him.

The White House: Living Room
8:00 o'clock

Tidus lived in a small apartment with his mother and drunkard father so being in a rather large environment amazed him to no end. His jaw nearly dropped as he entered the secured area, with bodyguards bigger than him keeping watch. Braska suddenly snapped his thoughts. "Nooj, will you be so kind and get Yuna for me?" Braska asked.

"Yes sir."

Tidus looked around, amazed by all the paintings on the wall and the expensive looking furniture. He calculated the number of years he’d have to work to earn that kind of living and estimated about a hundred years or so might get him as far as the white house. The thought depressed him, until a beautiful figure suddenly caught his eyes, breaking all thoughts he had. The young woman held a tired expression, perhaps just getting up from a nap. She smiled sweetly, erasing all traces of exhaustion from her face. And to Tidus’s surprise, her features looked even beautiful up close if it was possible.

The first thing he noticed was that both her eyes were different colors. One was green and the other blue.

The girl known as Yuna stared at him, extending her hand to him in friendly gesture as she had been brought up to be. The two shook hands, their eyes not leaving one another for Yuna was too busy concentrating on Tidus’ mesmerizing blue eyes. She couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as they separated at her father’s cough. Mentally kicking herself, she walked to her father’s side who wrapped a free arm around her shoulders.

"Well I’m sure we will all get along great. Tidus this is my daughter Yuna. Yuna he will watch over you 24/7 except when in the bathroom, of course. Now Tidus, I expect you to do you're job really carefully." He said. "And nothing more.”

Yuna looked down, embarrassed.
