Summary: On Harry's seventeenth birthday, he recieves an old trinket and a letter, which were charmed to find him when he came of age. The kicker is that the letter is from his mother, with instructions on how to use the trinket to "learn about the family." Upon following the instructions, time travel ensues. Will Harry be able to come to terms with his identity, and will his long-lost father manage to excape the clutches of the Dark Lord?
Author's Note: This story will vaguely resemble the Amulet of Time series, by Luna MoonMonster. If you like this read that series.
Heads turned on Platform 9 ¾ as a tall, raven-haired man pulled his trunk onto the Hogwarts Express. He was well-built and graceful, standing at about 6' 4". His bright green eyes drew attention to his face, with its high cheekbones and aquiline nose. As he reached his compartment, his mused over the fact that even when people didn't recognize him, he was still being stared at.
"Oh well," he muttered. "At lease now they're looking at me and not my scar."
"Oh! Excuse me..." The girls voice trailed off. "Harry?"
Harry grinned and waved the bushy-haired girl in. "Hey 'Mione. "Ron, what's up, mate?" he said as a befreckled redhead stepped in.
"Harry, what in bloody hell happened to you?"
Harry grinned and leaned back. "Well," he said. "That's a rather long story..."
