Chapter 13: Full Recovery

Arora, Yami and Mokuba have finally returned with the quarantine. Will Pernia's system fully recover?

Arora is now working on Pernia, getting the quarantine to install and clean areas of her system that was infected. Seto, Yami, Mokuba and Noah watch intensively as Arora presses many buttons and writes down information the computer screen provides.

"How long will this take?" Seto speaks up, breaking the silence.

"25 to 45 minutes at least." Arora answers him, continuing to hit enter on pop-up windows that tells her what area the quarantine has cleaned.

"25 to 45 Minutes?" Seto practically yells, startling everyone. "I don't have that kind of time!"

Arora sighs and turns to him.

"Right now you really don't have much of a choice if you want Pernia back!" Arora snaps to him. "Since the beginning of this whole thing, you have been absolutely no help at all, but you were a great help at being a pain in the ass though, that you did do right."

"Maybe you should have been thinking about the consequences ahead of time before you created her and maybe all of this could have been avoided!" Seto snaps back to her. "She wouldn't have a virus and I wouldn't be sitting in your basement!"

"Well sorry your HIGHNESS, that no one can see the future like you can!" Arora yells to him, turning completely away from the computer. "I created her for you, FOR YOU and as usual you are very UNGRATEFUL! I don't see how your brothers can put up with you, because I can't stand being around you myself!"

"That makes two of us!" Seto snorts.

"Ok you two enough!" Yami interrupts, getting between them. "Seto, Arora is fixing the problem now to bring Pernia back, so she can be with all of us again. She had no idea this would happen, so don't blame her for what she couldn't predict."

"She should have been thinking." Seto snorts.

"Well you know what Seto, it has happened and it makes no sense to make the world's biggest deal out of it now. Arora is fixing the problem now, to bring Pernia back!" Yami snaps to Seto. "And now that she has got the cure for that virus, you better be grateful that she's going through all of this trouble to bring her back for you, because she could just leave her body lifeless and infected for reasons you're not being appreciative enough to EVEN thank her for going out of her way just for YOU!"

Seto snorts, turning from Yami's gaze and Arora turns back to the computer.

Yami walks over the computer and up to Arora, hugging her from behind in an loving embrace.

"Thanks Yami, that really helped." Arora whispers to him.

"No problem babe." Yami whispers back to her, kissing her on the cheek. "Now work your magic, I believe in you."

Arora weakly smiles and turns her attention back to the computer.

::::I'm going to bring you back Pernia.::: Arora says to herself. :::My real mother slipped away from me, but you won't even have a chance to take that trip.:::::

25 minutes later

The quarantine has finally finished check marking all of the infected areas in Pernia's system, cleaning and repairing them.

"Ok it's all finished." Arora speaks up, getting everyone's attention.

"So she is fully recovered and has her memory, along everything else back?" Noah inquires happily.

"Well she still has her memory, but the other programs she had weren't so fortunate." Arora says turning to everyone. "Her dictionary took a very hard impact from the virus, along with her scanner, but the good news is, I can repair those."

"Well will she at least remember who we are?" Yami inquires.

"Well, she should, but I really can't tell you that right now." Arora answers him.

"Well can we at least turn her on to find out?" Seto asks impatiently.

"Not until I repair her scanner and her dictionary." Arora snaps to him. "Geez, learn some patience."

"But over all, she's ok right?" Mokuba inquires.

"Yeah she made it through this." Arora smiles to him. "All of the infected areas are now cleaned and repaired, but most her programs are going to have to be replaced."

"How long will that take?" Mokuba inquires curiously.

"It shouldn't take long." Arora says to him." I have a list of all the programs she had installed on her, so all I have to do now is look over the programs that were damaged and after that, easy fix."

"The next time I need repairing, I'm going to call her." Noah speaks up, turning to Mokuba . "Do you have her number?"

Mokuba has a less then happy expression displayed, now turning to Noah.

"If I get a hold of you, she won't be able to fix you beyond repairs. No one will for that matter." Mokuba hisses to Noah, making his cyborg brother get quiet fast.

"Did you take care of that virus yet?" Seto inquires.

"Yes I did." Arora answers, turning to him. "If you were paying attention like everyone else was, I said she is fine, but most of her programs have to be replaced."

"How long will that take?" Seto asks impatiently.

"That I can't tell you." Arora says calmly, trying to keep her anger under control. "But it will be done none the less."

Seto turns back to Pernia and smiles.

"I can't wait to see you smile again." Seto whispers to Pernia, continuing to hold her hand.

"Finally, he's obsessed with something else, other then money." Yami mumbles to himself. "And himself."

Arora comes from the computer and over to Pernia.

"Ok Seto, I'm going to need for you to move back." Arora commands, "I'm going to have to open her up."

"Open her up?" Seto asks in disbelief. "Why are you going to do that?"

"Yes, Open her up." Arora answers. "Her programs slots are inside of her so I have to open her up so I can replace the damaged programs with new ones."

Seto leans up and kisses Pernia on the lips. He then walks away from the table, letting Arora do her job.

Arora grabs her goggles from on the side of the computer, turns on the light above the table, and some screw drivers. She now begins working on Pernia.

45 minutes later

After 45 minutes of long and exhausting work of replacing most of Pernia's programs, putting in a new scanner and dictionary, along with installing the new version of The Kaiba Corporation Anti-Virus program on her, Arora has finally finished and has put Pernia back together. She is now removing the wires from her legs and arms from the diagnostic test she ran to make sure her new programs work.

"Ok finally finished." Arora speaks up, removing her goggles and wiping her forehead. "She's finally fixed with all her new programs working and running successfully."

"Great job Arora." Yami congratulates, blowing a kiss to her.

Arora smiles to him and blows one back.

"So now can we turn her on?" Seto asks standing.

Arora turns to Seto with a bored expression. Turning from him and now to Pernia, Arora gently lifts her head up and presses the on button on her neck. Everyone quickly gathers around the table to see Pernia open her eyes. Pernia finally opens her eyes and looks to her right first, to see Arora staring at her, and now to her left to see everyone else looking at her. Pernia sits up and looks around, also getting caught off guard by Seto's death grip hug.

"I'm so happy to see you again." Seto practically cries holding on her. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, Seto." Pernia speaks catching his gaze.

"You remember me." Seto smiles, shedding a few happy tears. (hey we all know Seto isn't happy much, so let the man have his moment alright? work with me here)

"Of course I remember you." Pernia says gently to him. "I remember everyone."

Looking past Seto, Pernia spots Yami, Mokuba and Noah.

"You're Mokuba, you're Noah and you're Yami." Pernia says pointing to them. Turning to her right, she sees Arora and smiles. "And you're my creator."

"Please Pernia, don't call me your creator." Arora says smiling. "Call me your best friend."

"Alright." Pernia smiles, now receiving a hug from Arora. "Best friend."

"It's good to have you back." Arora whispers, shedding a few tears herself.

"It's good to be back." Pernia whispers back to her, returning the hug.

"It's amazing." Noah smiles. "She never forgot who we were, despite how bad that virus was."

"I can explain that." Arora speaks up, releasing Pernia. "When replacing the programs that were damaged, I looked in her memory bank for any damages and found none, but I saw that the memory of us were never touched, thus resulting in her never forgetting about any of us."

Yami walks over to Arora and embraces her in a tight hug.

"You are so amazing." Yami whispers in her ear. "I love you."

"I love you too." Arora whispers back to him.

"Don't ever leave me again." Seto whispers to Pernia, planting a kiss on her lips.

"I won't." Pernia smiles. "My creator, I mean my best friend, will make sure to that."

Arora gets loose from Yami's grip and walks over to the computer. She's about to shut it down when Seto walks up on the side of her. Turning to him, Arora waits for his next insult.

"Arora, I would like to..." Seto begins, but stops.

"Would like to?" Arora inquires.

"I would like to, well you get it." Seto spits out, making Arora sigh.

"You just can't say it can you?" Arora sighs, throwing her hands in the air. "You just can't thank me for going through all of this trouble for you. Never mind then, I'll just take it as I did this for me."

Seto looks at the ground.

"I guess for someone to do something nice for you, it has to mean they owe you something. It must feel pretty damn good to make people feel lower then you." Arora finishes.

Arora turns her attention back to the computer to shut it down.

"Arora, Thanks for bringing Pernia back." Seto finally speaks up, getting Arora's attention.

Arora turns from the computer and to Seto.

"Did you just thank me for something?" Arora confirms. "I want to make sure I'm hearing this right."

"Yes I did." Seto says calmly. "Thank you for creating her for me and you're right, I should have been more thankful that you did and thanks for getting rid of that virus and repairing her."

Arora's frown turns into a smile.

"Now that's one apology I can accept." Arora smiles, holding her hand out.

Seto smiles, taking her hand and begins shakes it.

"Now that's what I like to see." Yami speaks up. "My rival and my girlfriend getting along. It may not settle well, but it works none the less."

"Free repairs are on me." Arora says to Seto.

"I'll be sure to let you know." Seto says letting go of her hand. Seto walks back over to Pernia and hugs her once more.

"I'm so happy to see you again." Seto says again, kissing her lips. "I thought I would never see your smile again."

"I am very happy to see you again as well." Pernia says lovingly to him. "Seto can you do me one favor?"

"Sure, anything you want." Seto perks up.

"Help me off this table." Pernia requests.

"Oh sure thing." Seto obeys.

Seto, with the help of Yami and Arora, help Pernia off the table. She stretches her cyber legs and fixes herself.

"Feels good to stand again." Pernia speaks.

"Pernia, there is something I have been wanting to ask you, and I hope the answer is yes." Seto says getting on one knee and taking her right hand in his.

"Yes Seto." Pernia says looking down at him.

"Pernia, ever since we met in Cyberspace, you are all I ever think about and you are the only person in this world who I would love to spend the rest of my life with." Seto begins.

"Seto..." Pernia whispers, unsure of what to say.

"Pernia, will you marry me?" Seto finishes. "Please make me a happy man."

"Yes Seto, I will marry you." Pernia answers him. "I will make you a happy man."

Seto stands up fully and embraces Pernia in a hug.

"Thank you." Seto whispers, kissing her cheek.

"Alright, algebra tutoring for life!" Mokuba and Noah say in unison, giving each other high-fives.

Applauds can be heard around them as they gaze into each other's sights.

"Thanks Pernia, for making me the luckiest and the most happiest man in Domino City." Seto says to her.

"Thank you for making me the happiest woman in the world." Pernia says back to him.

The applauds continue as they kiss once more, this time longer then before.

A/N: Ok people EOS (end of story). I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. If the ending is kind of lame, I apologize. I was typing this while enduring mass amounts of pain from an ear ache I have had for about 3 days now. If anything is confusing, please let me know and consider it changed.
