Forgotten Memories Promises Made and Troubled Ties
Chapter 3
Falling...
A dizzy spell had come over the now unconscious Anzu, and now all she could feel was a weightless sense of warmth as if a close protector was here holding her in his arms. Still one question begged to be answered. Was she dead, or had someone saved her from her tragic fall. For just this one moment she felt like a wounded dove a loving pair of arms.
Focusing she saw something familiar a child laying three white roses on his fathers grave. Then like a broken videotape the young boy flickered from view only to reappear crying to his heart content. Anzu stepped closer with that the young boy clasped Anzu’s hand tightly yet softly.
“This belonged to my mother.” He said simply.
The young boy placed a silver ring with a stunning sapphire blue stone into her hand, and closed her fingers around it. For a moment Anzu stood stunned at the young boy’s actions, and then allowed him to take the ring from her hand and slide it on her middle finger. A gasp escaped her, who was this boy?
''You're different from others you understand me in ways not even my father could; although my mother is gone I would like you to have her ring and to keep a promise I want to make. No matter what happens from now on I'll be your angel, someone I can watch over so you won’t be sad, someone I can be happy with, someone I can make happy and be loved by. I give you this ring it's my promise to you, to always be your angel.”
Then with that the scenery started to fade around Anzu, and like a helpless child she reached out to catch it in her arms only to have each fragment disappear from her arms. Then she was completely alone, shut away in the dark from the sweet young boy who made a promise, a promise to protect her.
Anzu's eyes shot open while sweet dripped from her face, and quickly she searched for the ring in her pocket. Her shorts felt strange the material was different, and there were no pockets. The brunette shot up from her bed, and saw that she was in a violet waltz nylon gown, and to be honest she was taken a back a bit by its beauty though she felt it certainly wasn't her style.
Her beauty especially in the beautiful new gown he had give to her entranced the young boy. Words could not describe his thoughts for the beautiful girl he had vowed to protect, and with a rare innocent smile he twisted the ring around in his fingers. The silver object was a sentimental gift that meant so much to both him and Anzu that it almost brought tears to his eyes just looking at it.
Then as if a devious fiend suddenly possessed him his innocent smile was replaced with a sly grin. Now if only he could find away to take out his replacement, who was he again, oh yes it was Seto
Kaiba the one person who had done all he ever dreamed of. No he wouldn't be losing his beautiful brunette princess to his replacement or that troublesome duelist Yuugi Motou. For now he switched his gaze to the computer scream Jounouchi was dueling against one of his goons perhaps this would entertain him for the time being.
Softly Anzu's fingers trailed along the hem of her new dress for some reason its beauty was starting to fade as she pondered her fate. Wasn't this all an act of revenge? The only reason they were here was because the Big 5 needed bodies to escape this virtual prison. Still could Noa actually have another agenda concerning her fate?
The brunette sighed, and fell back on the soft bed. There was a time where she had someone to talk to about these things. Someone she could cling to when she was afraid someone she could think of when she needed courage. She missed him so much, and knew that he wouldn’t come back. Still to even believe that he was still here gave her hope, and even if that gave her one small smile it would be worth it.
“Dad are you watching over me right now?” She asked softly.
Tears were about to fall, but she managed to keep them in. Hopelessly she glanced out the window. I wonder if Yuugi is coming for me, Anzu thought now sitting up holding her knees tightly. Gazing out the window hopelessly she searching for a sign of hope. She needed to get out of here before she found out what her captor’s agenda was. With no further thought she ran towards the bars, and pulled against only to hear a cynical laughter.
''Who are you? Anzu demanded, “Tell me why you have brought me here!''
