Dr. Rodney McKay walked casually through the halls of the SGC. He was headed to the briefing room for SG1's pre-mission briefing. Ever since Teal'c had been trapped in the Stargate's wormhole, Rodney had been the fifth member of SG-1.

When he entered the briefing room, an all too familiar scene met his eyes. Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, Samantha Carter, and Teal'c were all sitting there throwing paper balls at each other. Shaking his head in disapproval, Rodney sat in the chair across from Sam.

When General Hammond entered, all throwing ceased. Rodney was so into the briefing he almost didn't notice Sam playing footsies with him. When he looked up to her, she was no longer in her BDU's, but was in a tight black dress. In fact everything had changed. Everyone but Rodney and Sam had disappeared, and they weren't in the SGC anymore.

The two of them sat at table in an elegant restaurant, where music was playing. Suavely, Rodney rose from his seat, took Sam's hand in his, and led her to the dance floor. They danced to the music, which seemed to be coming from everywhere around them.

Sam looked into his eyes. "I lied to you before."

"Really? When?"

"When I said I liked you more before I liked you. The truth is, I love you, now."

"Ah."

They continued to dance for a few more minutes. Then Sam kissed him, romantically.

"Are you sure about that?" he asked after she broke the kiss.

"I don't know. I might have to do it again."

This time both of them leaned into the kiss. Somehow, while still kissing, they made their way over to the table. Rodney lifted Sam onto it. With no regard for anything else, they started taking each others clothes off.

Back in the real world:

Major John Sheppard and Lieutenant Aiden Ford were standing in Rodney's quarters.

"Please tell me McKay's not doing what I think he's doing," John said.

"Well, sir, I think that depends on what you think he's doing," Ford replied.

"I am thinking he is snogging with his pillow."

"It definitely looks that way, sir."

"McKay!" John kicked him in the butt.

"Whazzipthhhe." Rodney's face was still mashed against his pillow.

"What did he say?" John asked. Ford just shrugged.

"McKay!" John shouted into Rodney's ear.

"I'm here, I'm here," Rodney said as he awoke. "Everyone relax, I have arrived."

John just rolled his eyes.
