This is the first, and probably last, time I've ever written one of these. I've seen other people do them. They're called "drabbles", and they're supposed to be exactly one hundred words in length. I felt like the material didn't require more.

This takes place some time after "Hawk and Dove". An AU-Bridesmaid fic, since I haven't used JLU episodes in my ongoing series.

"I saw you on the television. You seemed quite angry."

"Had to babysit the brothers. I knew I wouldn't be able to get away until long after the fighting was over. And . . ."

"And?"

"This war scares me. You're only safe in your capital. That scares me too. If I thought it would resolve the conflict, I would take their leaders and their guns, and leave them in front of your castle wrapped in a bow. But I can't."

"I know."

"So I want to hit something. Because I can't help you, Audrey."

"You love me. That's enough."
