Last Moments

The pain shoots through his body, but he reaches up. He reaches up and clutches the ground with his hands and somehow, he makes it.

He knows that he has made the right choice. He looks towards the beautiful light of the Earth. As he looks up just one last time at the home that he will never see again, the old defiance rises up within him, and he is triumphant.

"We win, Gracie!"

He presses the button –
