Rána

'Rána' we called the moon once, 'wanderer'. But that title I have never understood, for the moon does not wander. There is a reason for its voyage across the sky, course unchanging from east to west.

Now it is I that they call the wanderer, forever to travel aimlessly by the shores of the sea. There is no purpose in my journeying, for I go to nowhere, or perhaps to somewhere that I shall never find. Rána looks down upon me each night, silvery glow telling me that we need not compete for the name.

It already fits me best.
