AN: I thought of this fic as I was waking up this morning. Takes place during Part 1 of the Dissonant Interval.

I watch as they walk along together, they've only met an hour ago but looking at them, they look like they've known each other all their lives.

Now I have to realize that I'm attracted to Telemacus Rhade when his attention is one someone else. Maybe it's because Louisa is a Nietzchean. Oh if only he would look at me like that.

Maybe he did once and I never got the hint. If he had looked at me what would I have done?

Oh Beka, why do you do this to yourself?

"Would you like for me to show you around?" she asks him.

Rhade gives her a smile, "I'd love to."

I watch them walk out not holding hands but it's only a matter of time.

THREE HOURS LATER.

I watch them as they return but I see the change between them. They're not hiding it they're in love.

I turn away as I feel pain unlike any other.

Why couldn't that have been me?
