--Chapter 1: I Hate You...But I Love You

--Flashback-
Yuna lifted her bags as she watched the boat come near her. She turned and looked at the beautiful Destiny's Island. 'Good-bye.' She thought.

"Yuna!!" She turned again. "Yuna! Where are you going?!" Aeris asked.

"I'm sorry Aeris...I just can't handle it! This place has too many bad memories...I'm leaving to Besaid." She answered.

"Well, we're coming with you!!" Sora yelled. Everyone stood in front of her. Yuna started to cry and smiled at her friends. "Yuna, we all know what happened. We're here you support you."

"Thank you all."

Yuna sat on her front porch and watched as the couples passed by, hand-in-hand. She let a tear roll down her eyes, but she soon wiped it off. 'Forget about him...he's just a cold-hearted bastard.' She thought. 'He can't be...' She protested against herself. "Stop thinking of him." She turned.

"Oh...hi Paine." She greeted. Paine sat next to her and watched the young teens. "And I wasn't thinking about him." She lied. Paine knew this, but stopped herself before she could say anything.

"Would it help to talk about him?" Paine asked. Yuna went silent. "Yuna, we all know that he was the love of you're life...but...maybe you weren't meant to be." She explained. "Yuna, there are more fishes in the sea."

"Yes, I know Paine. But Tidus...no, you're right." She said. "Thank you Paine." Paine nodded and helped her up. Yuna brushed off the dirt on her legs and came in the house. "Where's everyone else?" Yuna asked.

"They went out. Yuna, do you think it was a good idea moving from Destiny's Island?" Paine asked.

"Yes...there are too many memories for me. And we are old enough to live on our own. Sir Auron would have kicked us out anyway." Yuna said. "Besaid is a very nice place."

"That for sure! So many good looking girls." Both Paine and Yuna turned, Sora made his way towards the table and started eating Yuna's lunch.

"Hey!" Both Yuna and Kairi yelled.

"B-But, you're the best one here!" Sora said. Kairi smiled and sat next to him.

"You sure have a way with words." Paine mockery said. "Where is Aeris?"

"Do you really need to ask?" Sora asked.

"The mall." Both Yuna and Paine answered. Yuna took a bite of her breakfast-well what was left of it anyway. "Y'know, ever since we moved here Aeris and Cloud have been...y'know fighting." Kairi pointed out.

"Fighting? You call that fighting?." Yuna laughed. "The heat maybe."

"Cloud says that he'll never break it off with Aeris. He says that's how she shows her love for him." Kairi teased. Yuna picked up her school bag head towards the door with her friends.

"Wait guys!" Yuna and the others laughed as Aeris and Cloud ran towards them. "Did you guys hear? Rikku and Gippal are planning on moving here with us!"

"Really, how come she didn't tell us?" Sora asked.

"Well, she was planning to but knowing Aeris she knew she'd tell you." Cloud explained. Aeris glared at him and punched his arm. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and smiled nervously.

Tidus watched the boring musical and yawned. (AN. Not that I'm making fun of people who watch them!! I watched one once so don't take this the wrong way!) He looked at his future wife and looked down. 'Damn it...she's pretty and all...but Yuna was beautiful.' He thought. 'I wonder how she's doing?' She placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled.

"You want to get out of here?" She asked. He nodded and excused himself from the others. In Gaia it was night, while Besaid was morning. He stepped out with his fiance and stretched. "That was boring..." she said. He nodded.

"Yeah, I can't seem to get the whole story." He said.

"Trust me...isn't as interesting as you'd think." She said. "Tidus, you're still thinking of you're love." She asked.

"Yeah." He answered.

"It's alright, I don't want this marriage either." She said. "I'm only 16 and already getting married." She whispered.

"Garnet, do you ever get tired? Of royalty?" Tidus asked.

"Yes, it is tiring from time to time but I've gotten used to it." Garnet answered. "...Well it seems we've better get back to the play or they'll think we're offending them." She said. He watched as she made her way to the doors and followed behind. 'I'm sorry Yuna.'

"So all I have to do is capture the girl?" The dark figure asked. The other one nodded. "Sorry, but I don't do these things for free, pal." He walked further into the light and reveled his tail. (A.N. Yes, if some of you don't know I've included FF9 and the main character has a tail!!!)

"Is 10 million gil good enough for you?" He asked.

"Hm...tell me more." The tailed figure said.
