Lift Me Up High

Little by little, bit by bit,

I can feel myself begin to submit.

For it’s powers are oh so strong,

There’s no way it can’t do wrong.

Maybe I’ll lose in the end.

Even if I win, my wounds will never mend.

Until it happens, it’ll be unknown,

Perchance I’ll claim it’s powers for my own.

Hours, minutes, seconds pass,

I don’t know how much longer I can last,

Going further and further into my despair.

How much longer can I stand to breathe this air?

Grant one last wish.

Lift me up high.
