Sometimes when Joe looks up to the sky, an immense sorrow will rake his soul and his body will tremble in its wake. This would happen when he would look up and see nothing but an inky black. There would be no stars and there would be no moon. Not even the lights of the city could be seen.

This saddens him, it makes him on edge, and it makes him want nothing more to do than just break down and cry. Because there should always be something in the night sky. There should always be a shimmering star or two, if not a sky full. There should always be a luminescent moon hanging in the middle of the darkness. If there is not, then there is just darkness, an endless void of an empty black.

Joe doesn't like it when the sky is empty. It just reminds him that Jet isn't going to fly down on him and scoop him up into his arms. It just reminds him that Jet wont be there to warm him with an embrace and a loving kiss. It just reminds him that Jet isn't going to be there to protect him from the inky voids of space, or his mind.

An empty sky just reminds Joe that Jet is no longer there to love him, and that almost hurts as much as knowing that Jet died alone. Almost. But not quite.
