Hikaru mitsukai: Well, I was typing up chapter 5 of my story Chasing A Far Away Dream, only to realize that I had writer's block because I couldn't find a name for the chapter. Weird hunh? Well, anyway, I was recently reading Naruto book 4 that I had borrowed from a friend at school, and after reading it I was inspired to write this, and do many other things inspired by book 4, like a drawing that is in the works, although the original was better but it wasn't coming out too good.
But anywho, onto what's really important, this fairly emotional piece of work, a poem written from Haku's point of view. Even though he's just a fictional character, he taught me a lot about love, you know, the thing I don't believe in? Ah well, we go onto the poem now. I'm not so good at writing poems okay, so bear with me.
Disclaimer: Is my name Masashi Kishimoto? Noooooo. Am I Japanese? Nooooo. Do I own Naruto, in any size shape or form? HELL YEAH....uh...I mean...NOOOOOOO...ahehe ::Grins sheepishly::
In the blinding sun, or the pouring rain, I will stand by your side
Because that is where you have been all these years.
When I was condemned for a truth I couldn't hide,
And my face was washed in tears
You said for me you had better things in store
And the curse, which had lost me all I had
Had won me so much more.
I became a tool for you, which may sound rather bad
But you appreciated the gift in me that no one had noticed before
And for that, I am grateful, Zabuza sir
I'm always at your disposal, a beck and call away
Whatever your dreams, I'll try and make them come true, and from this I won't deter
Wherever your travels may take you, I'll be at your side and there I shall stay.
I shall protect you when you fall
From whichever enemies that prove too strong
Only then can I truly reach my all
But little did either of us know, my time at your side would not last that long.
On a bridge that was yet to be complete
We met with ninjas from the village of the flaming leaf
I thought my power was unrivalled, but that was the day I met my defeat.
He came so silently just like a thief
That I hardly had time to prepare.
When I had "killed' his friend, the truth I did best to hide
I failed, my lord Zabuza, a useless tool that caused quite a stir
The day I was rendered useless, when luck was not by my side
Your life was threatened, my beloved Zabuza, sir
And that was the day that I died.
I never got to say how thankful I was for everything you had done
When his hand shredded through my heart,
I knew that my debt was paid in full, and in my heart of hearts I knew that you would've won.
Hikaru mitsukai: So, it's done, you no longer have to endure the torture of my sad attempt at poetry. Although I was very touched at the amount of devotion he showed to Zabuza, and even as a non-believer I recognized it as love. The true love, not some flimsy ass infatuation that we call love. So touched was I, that I have written this poem in commeration of the lesson I was taught by a fictional character.
So, I'll eventually get out of my writer's block, and continue working on my other fic, but until then, ja ne...and don't forget to review, tell me exactly what you think of my poem.
