Chapter 6: A call for help!
Yami gets his wallet taken and Arora gets kissed by their waiter. This trip isn't what Yami planned.
Yami and Arora are now heading back into the city where Yami can make his phone call to Seto for help. Upon reaching the city line, Yami pulls his cell phone out of his pocket and begins dialing.
"I hope calling Seto will work." Arora begins. "I'm starting to get a headache just looking at the same scenes over and over."
"Don't worry, If Seto is our ticket out of here, then you won't have to look at this place any longer then you have to." Yami says to Arora, now hearing the ringing tone for the other line. "Me too for that matter."
The Kaiba Manor
Seto is sitting behind his desk as usual, looking over the company's financial documents and judging by his expression, he isn't too happy about what he is seeing.
"What did I hire at my company? A bunch of chimps?" Seto speaks in disgust, throwing the documents on the desk. "I might as well run this company myself, since no one I hire can seem to get the job done right."
Letting a grunt of disapproval, Seto leans back in the chair and lets out a heavy sigh. Seto begins going into concentration, for when the phone on his desk begins ringing.
"Great, some one else to take my time with their mindless non-sense." Seto says with a heavy sigh, turning towards the desk. Picking up the receiver, Seto begins speaking.
"This better be important!" Seto answers firmly.
"Kaiba?" Yami questions.
"I don't think I can be anyone else." Seto speaks in a harsh tone. "This better be important as to why you decided to interrupt my thinking time, Pharaoh."
"Believe me this is." Yami begins. "Me and Arora are stuck in Egypt."
"And what does this have to do with me?" Seto inquires in an uncaring tone. "Firstly, how did you two get there?"
"I used a portal I opened with my puzzle." Yami answers him.
"Ok, and what's wrong with using the same method to get back?" Seto inquires.
"It's not working." Yami replies. "It worked fine when I brought us here and now that we are trying to get back, for one reason or another, it's not working."
"Sounds like a real problem." Seto comments. "Well, as much as I would like to give you hand Pharaoh, I can't because I never had that problem before."
Yami sighs.
"If nothing else, I would like to get back to my thinking now." Seto comments. "I was in the middle of that before you called."
"Ok, but before you go back to that, see if you can contact Yugi." Yami requests. "And once you do, please tell him to give me a call on my cell phone."
"I'll see what I can do." Seto says hanging up the call.
In Egypt
Yami takes the cell phone away from his ear.
"Doesn't he know, he's suppose to say "Good bye" when ending a call?" Yami comments closing his cell phone.
Turning to Arora, Yami notices Arora is not standing next to him, but has taken a seat on the ground and is holding her stomach.
"Arora, Arora, what happened?" Yami inquires to her with concern, crouching down beside her. "Is everything ok? Are you hurt?"
"I'm not hurt, but I do feel sick." Arora answers him. "I feel as if I am going to throw up."
"It could have been something you ate at dinner." Yami says to her, pulling her in an embrace. "Do you feel like throwing up now?"
"Not now, but I'm sure it's going to come soon." Arora answers him.
"Let's get you to the hotel so you can lay down." Yami informs Arora.
"We can't go back." Arora replies. "We already checked out, plus Greg stole your wallet. So how are you going to pay for another room?"
"Don't worry, we won't be needing a room." Yami says to her. "We'll just stay in the lobby until either Seto or Yugi calls. They have a couch you can lay on."
"Alright." Arora answers him.
Yami helps Arora off the ground and helps her to her feet.
"Come on, let's head to the hotel." Yami says gently to Arora.
Yami begins walking with Arora to the hotel.
Kaiba Manor
"Yami and his girlfriend get stuck in Egypt and they call me for some help." Seto mumbles as he dials Yugi's number. "This should teach him a lesson about going to far out places."
Seto cuts his complaining and begins listening to the other side ring at Yugi's house.
Moto Residence
The Moto residence is filled with loud music, a bunch of teenagers and lots of food. The phone, now, begins ringing.
"Um Tea, this isn't what I had in mind when I called just you over here for a night alone." Yugi says to Tea, watching how the party is going right in front of him. "I just wanted it to be me and you."
"Oh Yugi, live a little bit." Tea says to him. "How many times do you get to have a party un-chaperoned in your life? Any teenager for that matter?"
Yugi begins thinking about his answer, while continuing to watch the party scene.
"Hey, There are no more chips." Duke begins complaining. "I said leave all the bar-be-cue chips to me and none of you did that!"
"Well, not many." Yugi finally answers Tea, turning to her. "But still, I just wanted it to be a you and me thing, not the entire school thing."
"Well, we can still have alone time." Tea says to Yugi, putting her cup on the table next to the couch. "But it can't be down here though."
Turning away from Tea's gaze, Yugi turns back to the party scene and sighs.
:::::I am so dead when Yami comes home.::::: Yugi says to himself.
The phone continues ringing, with the music continuing to blare, drowning out the sounds of the phone.
Kaiba Manor
Getting tired of hearing the phone ring on the other end with no one answering, Seto hangs up his end and sighs.
"So much for that idea." Seto says, pressing the line 3 button on his phone and dialing Yami's cell phone number.
In Egypt
Yami has gotten Arora back to the hotel and has her laid out on the couch, with a warm towel on her forehead.
"Arora, it's going to be alright." Yami assures her, stroking her right hand.
"Yami, I think I may know why I became so sick all of a sudden." Arora begins speaking, slightly sitting up. "And I don't think it was anything I ate."
Yami lays her back down.
"Arora, don't move please." Yami says in concern. "Now tell me why you feel it wasn't something you ate as to why you're feeling sick right now. "
"Well, Yami, think about it." Arora begins. "After our date, we went back to the hotel and if my memory serves me correctly, you didn't exactly cover up."
"So you're trying to tell me that you…."Yami's words trails off.
"I'm not sure yet, but I maybe." Arora finishes.
Yami opens his mouth to say something, but doesn't get the chance for when his cell phone begins ringing.
"Hold on Arora." Yami says pulling his phone out of his pocket. Pulling down the flap to the phone, Yami answers.
"Hello." Yami greets.
"I called Yugi like you requested, but unfortunately, your little millennium buddy didn't answer the phone." Seto says to Yami.
"I wonder what he could be doing." Yami speaks.
"Well, whatever it is, it doesn't concern me so I can care less." Seto speaks in a harsh tone.
Yami continues talking to Seto for when Arora's overwhelmingly sick feeling comes over her again. Jumping off the couch, Arora runs into ladies bathroom in the lobby of the hotel.
"Now, you've taken up more time then you should have." Seto says to Yami. "I have things to finish and thinking to get back to, so good-bye."
Seto hangs up his end.
"That was a waste of my time." Seto comments, leaning back in his chair.
In Egypt
Yami takes his cell phone away from his ear and closes it.
"Remind me never to go to him for help ever again." Yami says putting the phone in his pocket and now heading to the ladies bathroom, where Arora is.
Now entering the lobby area that leads to the inner bathroom, Yami can hear Arora throwing her guts up. Sighing and knowing what he may encounter by entering the ladies room, Yami walks in and finds which stall Arora is in. Arora continues vomiting, and is now joined by Yami.
"So can he help us?" Arora inquires through her nausea.
"Unfortunately not." Yami answers her. "And getting in touch with Yugi was impossible as well."
"So we are going to be stuck here forever?" Arora begins to worry.
"No, Arora, don't think that." Yami says, embracing her. "We will get out of here some way."
"You keep saying that, but I don't see anything happening that is even remotely close to getting us back to Domino City." Arora begins complaining.
"Let's not give up hope just yet, we will get home." Yami assures her. "Are you going to be ok?"
"I don't know." Arora answers. "But before it turns out to be what I am thinking, then I want to be back in Domino City where I can be able to deal with it."
"We will, I promise." Yami says to her.
Yami helps Arora to her feet and fixes her hair.
"You'll be fine and if it turns out that you are pregnant, then I'm here for you every step of the way." Yami says to her, giving her a kiss on her forehead.
Arora gives Yami a weak smile.
"Come on, I'm going to try calling Yugi again." Yami informs her.
Arora clings on to his arm and they both exit the bathroom, heading back out into the lobby. Once they reach the lobby, Yami takes his cell phone out.
"This time Yugi should answer." Yami speaks, dialing the number. "I don't even think Kaiba even tried to call Yugi when I asked him to."
"Well, let me know what happens." Arora says to Yami. "I'm going to go sit on the couch. I am beginning to feel light headed again."
Yami finishes dialing the number and now hears the other side beginning to ring. While he's waiting for Yugi to pick up, Marik and Isis enter the hotel.
"I'll only be a quick moment." Marik says to Isis. "I just need to use the phone."
Isis sighs.
Yami closes his phone and sticks it back in his pocket.
"Can't reach him." Yami says to himself. "I wonder what he could be doing at the house."
"Did you get to talk to him?" Arora inquires to Yami.
"No, I didn't." Yami answers her, now joining her on the couch. "I'll try again in an hour."
Marik finishes using the phone at the desk and turns to leave, but stops dead in his tracks when he spots Yami and Arora on the couch.
"Out of all the places in Egypt, I had to run into you here, Pharaoh." Marik comments, getting Yami's attention.
"Marik, what are you doing here?" Yami comments standing.
"I live here." Marik answers him. "You don't, so why are you here?"
"I don't think that's any of your business." Yami answers Marik.
"You're in Egypt, you're on my terms and I have every right to know why you'd even step foot here." Marik snaps at Yami.
"Ok, That's enough Marik." Isis cuts in. "Just ignore him Pharaoh. He's been in a crabby mood all day long."
"Ok, that explains it." Yami replies.
"I am not crabby." Marik speaks up. "I was having a good day until I saw HIM here."
Isis turns away from Marik and turns to Yami.
"Just ignore him." Isis speaks politely . "Anyway, what does bring you and your girlfriend here?"
"Well, I brought Arora here on a date for our third year anniversary." Yami begins explaining. "And now we can't get back home."
Marik makes a sound of disapproval.
"How is that?" Isis inquires.
"If you have the time, I'll explain it to you." Yami answers her. "it's a long story."
"Sure we have time." Isis says to Yami. "Don't we Marik?"
Marik folds his arms and turns his back.
"Well, the story is this." Yami begins explaining to Isis.
