A NOTICE
When I write fanfiction, I have this sort of private rule: finish everything you start. I’ve finished at least eleven online stories, five of which are on this site, but now I find that concerning Story Arc Two of The Sixth Titan, I’ve just hit a wall.
When I was writing Chapter Sixteen, I thought the story would be over. But people liked it so much that they wanted more, and I rushed into things to give it to them. Now I am tired. I hate to let you all down, and I hate to put a splotch on my record, but I just can’t finish the second arc. One reason for doing this is that I don’t really like the second arc. Oh, I like the plot, and I liked certain scenes, but when you come down to it I don’t have the same love that I had for the first arc. I wrote Seventen and all the chapters that followed because people wanted more. That’s no reason to write anything. I have to like what I’m writing, don’t I?
So here’s what I’m going to do. As much as I don’t want to disappoint people and make myself look bad, I am going to delete Chapters 17 through 22. I will leave the story as I first intended. I am really sorry that I’m pulling the plug but I since this is my story, I have to please myself first, which is something that I forgot to do when I started writing Chapter 17. That sounds selfish, but it’s true: whoever tries to please everybody will displease somebody, and today that somebody is me. I really will feel relieved when I’ve cancelled the second arc.
For what it’s worth, I’m not quitting fanfiction all together; just the last few chapters of this fic. And it will still be up, just shorter than it currently is.
I hope you all understand,
