It was all a mission ?
Chapter 1
It had finally ended. The final battle against Naraku had finally ended. Blood, ash and decapitated body parts littered the ground, leaving behind a smell of death, smoke and decay.
Kouga and Sesshomaru had also joined in on the fray. Kouga had, at last, gotten his revenge. Though, not against Kaura, the wind demoness who had slaughtered his men, but against Naraku himself. Seeing as Kagura wanted Naraku to be killed himself, because of being a slave, due to Narakus enslavement of her heart. Kagura apologiesed afterwards, which to Kouga accepted and became fast friends, well acquaintances or partner, but accepting each other nontheless.
Sesshoumaru, on the other hand, had also became an ally, and elder brother to Kagome. Thus, telling us why he joined forces against the evil hanyou. He taught her all forms of fighting at least a year before the final battle, except the way of the Taijiya which Sango taught her. And finally when she had become family enough, in his eyes, he created a blood bond, between two people who thought that they should be a sibling. Later on about a week after the adopting ceremony of this blood bond, she had gained a blue crescent moon upon her forhead and silver hair. They were both delighted to know this fact. She was heir to the western lands.
Kagome had also grown more womanly, and because of all this excercise in the past, she had become some sort of model, even though she was seventeen. She was an official member of the Taijiya clan ranks, and because Sango was the top rank, even when she had her whole village, Kagome was her apprentice and had a high rank also, apparently. Second in command, actually was Kagomes rank. Kagome had also been taught by Sesshoumaru, one of the most toughest trainers out there, and had learned alot, and was very agile on her feet. Sesshoumaru taught her swordmanship. During the training, her senses all improved, nearly as god as a full demons but better than any hanyou, except smelling, though that sense had improved some too. He gave his most trusted sword to her, the tensaiga. She protested at first, as did the sword, but both, the sword and herself, felt somehow connected, though it could be the bonding that they had. Sesshoumarus blood did run though her very veins too.
So, Kagome had become a deadly warrior, and poised with Miko powers accelerating the deadlyness of her, and became a known miko, rumored to be the strongest alive, maybe even rivaling the great Midorikos powers. Along the lines of miko powers, hers had heightened into and unimaginable amount. She had to hide it with a chant every month, so she would be less of a fire, and the demons less of moth's. But, if a great battle had come up, like the Naraku war, she let it slip and was feared. Yes, Kagome, the kind hearted miko was feared. A scary fact to the said miko, but very handy too. Anyway, she could channel her powers into anything, healing it or purifying it. Also, little orbs of powers, spheres about the size of a fist and white as snow, could be made and float around to be used anyway she wanted, purifying it or healing it. She also created weapons out of her power. Very useful indeed.
She had changed her school clothes into miko ones. The white haori had a blue moon on its back with a small diamond between the points shaped into the shikon jewel, representing her position and what land she belonged to. The hakamas were a red silk skirt, with slits on each side up to the mid thigh. The look was finished with white fghting slippers and a long piece of silk, the same deep red as the skirt had her hair in a high ponytail, the ends stopping at her waist and fluttered around when a slight wind blew.
Sangos neko demon, Kirara had found a mate and had four kittens, three silver with black tips on the tail, paws and ears, though the three were female and the other male. One Female had red eyes the other two had silver. The male looked exactly like the father, Mushu. It had silver eyes and was pure ebony in colour. The tips of the ears, paws and tail was also silver. Kirara had wanted Kagome to have two of her kittens. So Kagome, reluctantly took the male and the one with red eyes. The male was called, Sime, it was pronounced sigh-may and the Female Kirasu a mixture of the mothers and fathers name. It was rare to have demons give out their young but Kirara was trusting and Mushu honourable, wanted his mate happy and agreed. Kagome gave Shippou Kirasu, while keeping Sime.
Kouga had rushed off home to tell the elders of his revenge, while saying goodbye to Kagome and telling her that he took Ayame's offer of mating and told Kagome not to cry; they could still be friends. Kagome tried not to act happy, but failing though Kouga seemed not to see, or ignored it. Either way they were great friends at the end of it. Sesshoumaru had left making sure Kagome would visit him,before she left, she told of the well and had accepted it. It did reason for all her ... different clothes and items she carried around. He too left, reason being of Rin who was now his daughter, but Kagome was still the heir of the lands, seeing as she was older. Kagura had came up to Kagome and gave her wind powers and fan to Kagome, before flying off on her feather, she retained at least one of her abilitys after all, though Kagome could fly off on a feather too.
The rest of the shard hunting group, had gotton what they wanted with the jewel. Sangos village was restored, with all the inhabitants alive, though Kohakus was already alive thanks to Kagomes sword, Tensaiga. Inuyasha, was now a full demon and him and Kikyou had peaceflly been sent to hell, but Kagome made sure that no torture was for them, but surprisingly were sent to heaven. But before he left, he gave her Tetsusaiga. So now she had both swords that the brother once fought with. Miroku had no need of a wish, as the curse from Naraku had dropped. Shippou did have a wish now and was currently making it. The shard hunting group and Kohaku were watching him.
Shipou gulped before looking at Kagome, who nodded and smiled at him, he nodded also. "I wish that Kagome became a true mother to me, living as long as a demon can. Erm, please. Thanks" A bright light erupted covering Shippou and Kagome. A silver line suddenly sprouted from him to Kagome. As the light dimmed, Kagome still looked the same exept for the white silken fox ears upon her head and the single white tail coming from her tail bone that ended a few centimetres along the ground. Her hair had turn silver too. Her eyes, now darker midnight blue instead of sapphire. On her forehead between the two cresecent moon points were the kanji for 'Savior'.Shippou also had his little ears and fuzzy tail turn white.
"Lady Kagome, Little Shipou !"
"Kagome ! Shippou !"
Sango and Miroku had looked startled but content, as they stood side by neko demon family had stood in front of them sheilding the kittens. Kohaku blinked. Wasn't Kagome human, and Shippou red ?
"That was unexpected, is this what you want Shippou ? A demon miko for a mother ?" Kagome asked seriously. Shippou nodded fiercely, Kagome was the strongest person he knew and he felt like she was his mother. Kagome smiled warmly, he was her son, and she loved it.
"Okay Sango, your Village was a day away right ? Shall we visit? I'm sure they would want their leader back." Kagome laughed as Sango blushed and nodded. She pointed southeast.
"It's that way Kagome, and don't forget they want to see their second in command, right Kohaku, seeing as your not a Taijiya yet?" Kohaku nodded and smiled at Kagome.
"She is right Lady Kagome. Would you like to stay a while? The village would like to know about the battle and I could finnally say my appologies, I just hope they forgive." Kohaku sighed at the end of his sentance, staring wistfully beyond.
"Of course they will Kohaku ! And I'd love that, Mirokus coming too right. How about we hop on my feather? Kagura gave me one to keep." Kagome took out a feather from her silk hair holder, from the end of the left and it transformed at once, into a huge silver feather, able to carry all of them. They all sat on, Sime on Kagomes right shoulder, with Shippou her lap, who in turn had Kirasu on his. Both swords were strapped to her hips. Kagome was up front, Sango behind with Kirara and her two other kittens, that were yet to be named on her lap, boomerang strapped on firmly. Kohaku was on her right holding his sickle and chain, slowly stroking Kirara. Miroku held Mushu, who was watching his family closely, and was at the back, staff jingling on his right shoulder. They flew for an hour, chatting lightly about the battle, commenting on who killed the most. Kagome did, though nearly beaten by Sango, because both had long range weapons on them, Mirokus was for short encounters. He also got quite a sum of killings. About three to four hundred odd, though most were weak, in his opinion. The girls agreed, while Kohaku was watching in interest.
The village was spotted by Kohaku, as he look out.
"Guys, look ! We are home at last Sango. At last." Kohaku whispered the last part to himself. He was only nine when taken and it was the day befor his birthday. So he was now twelve.
They landed.
But before they left for the edge of the village, Kagome and Shippou left Miroku a Staff made from the God tree, it was blessed with a few spells. Non- breakable, and can't have any marks or bumps on it. On the top end was a huge pearl ball, the size of a fist which created light, fire, water, and healing spells for Miroku and Miroku only. Sango had the same spells on her new boomerang also made from the God tree, with the same spells, except that her pearl ball was in the centre of the boomerang. The pearl balls were crystalised miko energy. Both had gold painting on it of Kagome and Shippou's face in the corner about a hand size each. The faces were a communicator that could move when she talked to them. They had to touch the faces and say 'I wish I could speak to Kagome and Shippou', they didn't know but she was sure they would work it out. Shippou also left pictures that had a spell of never getting old on them.
Kagome, Shippou, Sango, Miroku, Kohaku, Kirara, Mushu, and The two Kittens, Sime and Kirasu, stood at the front of the village all looking very sad. Kagome sighed and tightened her hold on Shippou and Sime, Kirasu and her shoulder. It was morning, they were to go to the west.
"I guess this is goodbye." Kagome muttered, gaining the attention of the group. They all nodded.
"We have gifts for you Kagome. And you too Shippou." Miroku calmly spoke. They took out several packages.
"Yeah, we want you to open them when you get home." Sango spoke up proudly, though a sad smile was still sketched onto her face.
Kagome sighed sadly and put a silver bang of her waist length hair behind her ear, that had fallen out of the ponytail. Yeah, she would talk to them, but only inside her head. And that if she could feel them. Hey ! She had mental blocks so those couldn't enter her mind. It had been a long mission, the longest in fact. And she was Enmas very own.
They took the gifts and promised to open it when they got to the western lands.
As they came into the western lands walking, Sesshoumaru appeared next to them, to welcome them to their home. He looked shocked at her new features. But oddly pleased too.
"Aniki !" Kagome started, happily. Scaring Shippou, out of his sleep and making the neko demons jump. He smirked and hugged her quickly, glaring round at unseen people.
"My little Imouto, how are you ?" He spoke after the breif hug. She nodded.
"I'm good, a few demons to kill as we got here but as you can see, not a scratch" She twirled round once and smiled warmly as she stopped. The swords seemed to sing as she did so making all of the group look at them. She continued, "Tetsusaiga is a well crafted sword. As is the Tensaiga"
"I can see. My fathers swords seem to like you. It's not the weilder who chooses to master these swords, its the swords who chooses its worthy master" Sesshoumaru spoke wisely. "Tensaiga, from experiance is particularily hard to be chosen by, only dog-demons can master it you know."
"But I'm fox demon. Wait, I know, Since your my brother by blood I have slight dog-demon in me. So thats why I have silver hair. Cool." Kagome squealed. He rolled his eyes. Women.
"Indeed, but come it is time the western lands know their heir. I see you retained your symbol when you changed into a fox demon. How did you turn into one by the way, my dear Kagome ?" Sesshomaru questionened, while walking away with Kagome. Shippou and Kirasu walked behind while Sime sat protectively on Kagomes left shoulder. She had her yellow bag, which had the particularily large gifts in, on her right.
"Well..." She continued with Shippous wish and the Taijiyas village.
Until at last they came to the palace.
"Welcome home, Imouto."
She stayed about two weeks approximately.
Then it was time to make goodbyes once again. She wore Sesshoumarus style of clothes, except the hakamas were a white velvet skirt. She even wore his very own armour and sash. Her tail curled around her right leg. Her red silk hair holder was now a white velvet cloth that held the hair up better. She sat on her feather as did Shippou and the two neko demon kittens who were now half Kirara's size, on her lap all cuddled up and warm.
Rin was crying, though kagome taught rin spells that would be helpful in the future and gave her a staff very much like Mirokus old one, with the pearl crystalized miko energy at the top. It was at least twice her size, but she would grow into it. Sesshoumaru also had a new sword, of Kagomes fang. Totousai had made it for her, because she was the new heir.
She had also opened Sangos gift, three Taijiya outfits all with blue instead of pink, and white instead of red aso her own boomerang. Miroku had given Kagome a staff as well his own too also unused wards were given to her. Also weapon kits just in case.
Carrying on that thought, she also had throwing daggers and multiple kimonos chanted to become smaller so it would fit in her medium sized bag. They were all from demons across Japans western lands. The other lands also had sent the demoness miko gifts. The throwing daggers from the south unbreakable jewelery from the lady of the east. She was going to the north and had sent word to Kouga, who was prince of those lands to see him one last time.
Kagome peered into the well as she held Shippou and the two kittens on each of her shoulders. She turned human and her bag was incredibly heavy even though all the items were chanted into minimized size. Maye she had too much? The armour of Sesshoumaru also weighed her down. The scroll in her left hand and Shippou in the over, she jumped, while ripping open the scroll as Shippou clung to her.
"Your destiny is still unwinding, Thankyou, Miko of the future.
Midoriko"
Kagomes mother was sadly lookin down at th broom in her hands as she swept the stairs. Her baby had been gone for a month, the longest she had ever been away. It was quite a feat, and wondered how she was. She felt tingly and turned to the wellhouse. A bright soft blue light emitted from it, and Kagome bounded out from it, dropping her bag and shouted, "Mama ! Its finally done, he is dead !!!"
I opened my eyes again to see my mother rush other and hug her to death. Not that it could, thankfully demon strength was good to her and she lived. Her mother helped her inside and ordered her to eat the newly cooked oden and tell the story. She did as her mother told her and retold the story once again. It took two hours as she told her about the battle and the last goodbyes. Her mother took out the gifts and ooh-ed and ahh-ed at each part. Her brother, Souta, and grandfather came in halway through the battle. They all were a good audience. What she wanted now was rest, and a bath of course.
The entered her room after the shower and stopped. It had changed from fuzzy pink to calm steel blue. The bed a silver metal framed and huge mirror above a chest of drawers. A desk to the left of her bed and a show case which could hold her weapons in.
Her mother decided to enter. "Your not the only one with powers Kagome, I can form anything out of thin air, as can you actually, though I was oing to teach you but you already have to much ebergy to not know already. Have you thought of something then it would appear ?"
Kagome blushed, she had thought of stuff and it came true. She wanted some sushi on the way here, when the others slept and it appeared. Kagome smiled and nodded. "But now mother I need sleep and a talk with my boss tomorrow, goodnight ma."
"Goodnight Kagome, dear."
"Kagome, we have to tell you things, come over here," Grandpa whittered. She did so sitting down at the kitchen table.
"Well, I myself am a miko and have some powers, I can instant transform anywhere and granpa can use telepathy and move things with his mind." Kagomes mother spoke happily. Kagome nodded.
"So you automatically have those powers too. You alreay knew how to use them without being taught so... well done, I suppose ! " Kagome thanked her and ran upstairs to dress in her miko garb and placed the two swords on her hip. She put on the shikon no tama around her neck too.
She stepped downstairs, bid her family goodbye, with Shippou in her arms and transported into the Reikai.
"Gerrup ya lazy ass, its school, now !" and grabbed the duvet chcked it off him and wandered back out.
Yusuke sighed and got up, when his communicator went off.
"Yusuke over here, right now !! A portal I hadn't known about has just been found the others are already here." Koenma sqwarked through. Yusuke groaned.
"NOW !" Yusuke jumped and nodded hurrying to get the clothes on grumbling about annoying babys ordering him around. It was so unfair of course, a monday and only, what ? Nine or something ? He shrugged when Boton popped out of no where in his room.
"Time to go !" Boton cheerily said, while Yusuke glared at her. Who the hell was so happy at this ungodly hour ?
"Yeah Yeah, let's go already." He muttered and stepped through the portal. Boton followed on humming to herself.
"My, Kagome ? Is that you and already ?"
Kagome smiled wolfishly, "Yeah and I'm back from the job ! It took longer than I thought, 2 years, but I handled it good."
King Yama shook with laughter, "Always the perfectionist, eh Kagome ? And who is this young fellow ?" King Yama held out a huge hand, and Kagome placed a shaking Shippou into it. "Very small aren't you ? A kit I believe, white one, very rare those are too !"
"King Yama ?" Kagome quietly spoke. He looked up and nodded.
"He is my son, I'm a white fox now." She let her chants disappear and silver hair replaced the ebony. While fangs, claws, and a white silken fox tail emerged as well as snow white fox ears popped from under her hair. He gasped.
"Why ?"
"Because Shippou wished for me to become his true mother. The wish of the innocent." Kagome replied with confidence. He nodded.
"Well, because of the complete mission, You have a mansion and a lot of money, say a billion in Ningenkai terms." He added thoughtfully, "Its fully furnished, but for this you have to work for my son, another kitsune, silver, works for him too. Maybe you should get -"
"Cut that sentance, right there pal ! Sure I'll work and have some more fun, but, Narakus soul. It might come back keep it under lock and key, okay ? Don't let it out !" She ordered the last bit. He nodded vigorously .
"Of course, dear."
"Good, I'll meet them now, But I'l hide my appearance, won't that be fun ?" She giggled.
King Yama shrugged, "Whatever floats your boat. I'll come on screen when you get there and inform my boy." After she changed and held back her power, he portaled her and Shippou into his office where a meeting with the spirit detectives was already held.
"They will be working with you, like it or not ! They won't try and harm you, will you Jin, Touya ?" Koenma sighed, speaking to Yusuke and getting him to sway off his stubborn side was hard.
"Ofcoursenot." Jin replied in his Irish accent. Yusuke blinked.
"What'cha say windie ?" Yusuke asked dumbly.
A female voice intterrupted, "He said 'of course not.'" They turned to see a miko with two swords and a white kit upon her shoulder.
"Exactlymissie." Jin smiled warmly. He liked her already.
"Not a problem . The names Kagome." She greeted to them. Most nodded, while Jin walked up and smiled charmingly.
"Andwhatwouldalovelywomanlikeyoubedoing'ere?" He asked quickly, wrapping an arm around her shoulder casually. She brushed his arm off her shoulder and replied.
"Yama wants me here, Jin, correct ?" He nodded happily replacing the arm. She sighed and let him keep it there.
"And why would my father want a weak ningen here as well as a kit?" Koenma asked rudely.
Shippou bristled, "My momma's not weak!!!" They looked at Kagome. Explantion clearly wanted. She rolled her eyes.
"Your too young to have a child and a kit as well, your human !" Kuwabara explained. The other nodded.
"A-hem !" King Yama appeared on screen. Koenma yipped.
"Father your back ! How was vacation ?" Yama smiled.
"Good, but a mission of mine was finally finished thanks to Kagome." All turned to Kagome who whistled innocently while checking her nails. She looked up innocently.
"Wha ?" They all sweatdropped.
"Oh ! Yeah thanks to moi." Kagome stated proudly with her chin held high. Jin took his chance to peer at her neck. No mark. Hah ! She was free.
"It was supposed to take up to four and a half-"
"Years ?" Kuwabara interrupted. Yusuke bopped him on the head.
"Of course not it was either days, weeks or months, right Yama ?" Yusuke asked confidently.
"No, it was years actually. But Kagome here did it in 2 years. Two and a half years quicker. She saved the past and present, maybe even the future." Yama presented. The humans actually dropped their jaws while some of the demons had looks of shock.
"Your good." Boton put in. They all jumped, when did she get there?
"No, my spirit detective is the best. She might look weak."
"butlookscanbedecieving,right?" Jin asked Kagome. She smiled happily.
"Of course ! I am no human. I'm wind kitsune thanks to Kagura." She turned into her demonic form. Jin gasped feeling she was another wind master. No wonder he felt connected to her in someway ! He smiled. She was beautiful too. His arm was still around her too.
"You are soooo pretty !" Kuwabara got down on one knee in front of her. "Would you go out with me."
Jin and Kagome along with Hiei and Yusuke knocked him out with punches and kicks. She blinked and smiled.
"Your getting along alright, which is good, since I have no more missions for her, she will be on your team." Jin smiled broadly. Touya snorted as he saw the smirk. Jin had already started falling for her. His crush was apparent, the closeness, arm over shoulder smiling like a looney, signs of wanting and potential mate.
"Kagome already has a huge house in the Ningenkai were you all will be staying with her " Yama smiled " There might not be enough rooms furnished so you might have to share Im afraid you can sort that out Kagome and goodbye."
She blinked, huh ?
"Well, where is your house so we can go ?" Yusuke spoke up .
"How do I know I was just given it !" Kagme added annoyed. He sweatdropped. A little spark and a chain with a mass of keys dropped into her hand along with a note
"I-I knew that !!" He stammered, well actually he didn't, it just seemed right in their little arguement.
She rolled her eyes, and shrugged Jins arm of her shoulder, "Whatever. I'm reading, close ya yap would ya ?"
Dear Kagome,
Thankyou for all your help I greatly apprieciate it. You have all you need in the mansion I bought especially for you. These are the keys to your house motorbikes and Cars.

"Annoying man. Coulda given me this earlier." She muttered darkly. "Sime !"
The said black cat jumped out of nowhere and landed into the arms of Kagome.
"Hello again little one, I need you to bring your sister. Don't fight with her this time." The cat did a pout, but meowed agreeingly. "Good, now go."
A moment later they returned. Kagome took out a feather and jumped on sitting comfortably. The cats followed after picking up a snoozing Shippou who had a bubble of snot coming up and down with every large breathe he took. She shook her head and turned to the others. "I have the humans on here now and transmit when needed, Coming wind-boy ?" She asked Jin he nodded Yusuke and Kuwabara jumped on also behind the first four already occupying it. She flew out of Koenmas room.
Aboout fifteen minutes of flying through the skies, making sure to hide behind clouds when seen, they landed in front of a huge polished house. Wait mansion Wait its a bloody Castle ! Even Kagome was awed by its size, 'And I thought Sesshoumarus castle was huge .' She could detect the magic from within all the way from here.
She transported back toa few bored looking demons and smiled. "The place is damn huge. Come on, I'll transport you back there." They did so all toouching a part of Kagomes arms or shoulder. In a blink they were there.
Touya whistled "Your right it is big."
"Humungous would be correct and still too small to be a understatement." Kurama put in.
They nodded.
"Now who sleeps where ?" Shippou asked.
Oh and for those who DO read it I'm currently about half way through, and decided to do Kikyou torture time when I feel like giving you guys a laugh so nyah if yu hate me now !!! It will come up before chap ten, k?
