Title: HALLOWEEN: Kikyou's Resurrection.
Rating: T
Genre: Suspense/Mistery/Horror (?)
Summary: While struggling with her feelings of hate and vengeance against the people who deceived her, Kikyou finds herself the puppet of a mysterious organization that threatens to take over the feudal era.
Warnings: Not much Kagome loving (could even be called downright bash), Soft Yuri undertones. I also don't have a beta, so all mistakes here are mine.
Disclaimer: Let's be honest now, If I owned it, everything would already have gone to hell.
A/N: Three years already, huh? Wow. Ehem, I mean, this is the re-written version of this chapter. I've changed some things and added others so you pretty much will have to re-read it all to understand whatever will be happening in future chapters, I'll be uploading the next re-written chapters from time to time to finally reach chapter 9 and keep going from there.
BTW, this is a Crossover, if you hadn't noticed, yet you'd only will need to wiki certain things, not know the actual plot in the games since I'll be adding things of my own. This will also include Kagome-bash, I was a Kag-hater once upon a time, and she still bothers me, so I think you'd know better by now.
Also, it is not a secret that all this time I've been supporting and basking in the Yuri world, so the Shoujo-ai undertones will more or less be prominent in the fic and may or may not affect the plot, depends on my mood. X3
…Can't handle any of this? Don't read.
Now without further ado, I present to you:
Halloween: Kikyou's Resurrection
- Ch. 1 -
( Revised version )
Nothing had changed, Kikyou mused as the much expected company arrived.
Even when she was still alive, it was always the same; She would be somewhere and shortly after, the silver haired half-demon would find her. He would follow her, and she, as always, would ask one question:
"What are you doing here?"
And of course, it would always go un-answered, the mutt always finding a way to change the topic to something less important.
"Kikyou… I…" He would breathe, like always, and fail at whatever he was determined to say.
In all honestly, it annoyed the fallen priestess out of her wits. It made Kikyou almost revolt in anger knowing what he wanted to say was never leaving his lips.
'Just say it, InuYasha, and free me from this fate.' She had expected it from him ever since she was revived. She had expected those heart-wrenching words the hanyou was destined to utter.
She had expected the truth, and she was ready for it.
Or was she?
"I… you… Kagome…" A stutter, and Kikyou narrowed her eyes. She did know what it was all about, but she wanted to hear it from him.
The truth.
"You've… You know… Kagome and I-"
"Is that the only thing you came for here? To stutter or to actually utter something purposeful?" She asked in her ever mocking tone. And had to force a grin from making its way across her face as his body became rigid.
It was always the same. She had always enjoyed to mock whenever she could, yet she could not pinpoint when or why this hobby of hers decided to emerge.
He took a deep breath, and she waited.
Then, in a soft, barely audible whisper, it came. 'Finally'
"I-I've decided to move on." It was all so expected, it had always being, and yet, why did she feel so… empty? Why did it feel so wrong?
She then realized that had she had a pulse, it would have stopped then and there.
But she didn't have one, and the world kept turning, at least for the living it did.
Her eyes did not show emotion, and when she didn't make the least attempt to move, she knew he wondered if his mutter had being heard at all.
He opened his mouth again, but a faint sound stopped him, and he looked towards an especific tree. Where the reason for all of it was.
She had suspected something like it, actually. And was not disappointed in the least when the girl from the future revealed herself.
So she had been hearing their chat for quite some time now, had she?
'Entirely expected, just like clockwork' She thought then, she wouldn't if she had known better.
First thing she noticed as the girl came closer to her former lover, was the strange aura surrounding then girl. It was different than the normal cheery, bordering on annoying aura the yourger girl usually had. It was darker, slightly sinister, and rather unstable. It made her, of all people, uneasy.
But what unerved her more was the fact that InuYasha was apparently oblivious to that fact.
Either that or he chose to ignore it completely.
Yet, when Kagome captured Kikyou's gaze with her own brown eyes, The Undead priestess knew. And her eyes widened slightly upon seeing what was deflected in those young eyes.
Because it was pure, unmistaken death intent.
And when the dead souls started leaving her imitation of a body, she thought she saw a smile grace the younger girl's lips before everything went black.
x-x-x-x-x
The smile never left her lips as the whole scene unfolded itself.
She had been waiting for InuYasha's cue to come out of her hidding place for a while now, and she had definetly enjoyed the shocked, almost dumbfounded expression in the undead priestess gaze as she locked eyes with her.
She had found out about it, about what she hid to everyone except Kikyou, and Kagome knew that.
It had been such a pity it had to end that way, but the younger girl could care less.
She had InuYasha to herself now, didn't she?
Her twisted smile, pure to InuYasha and his friends, widened some more as the clay body of Kikyou's decomposed and broke.
Just like a porcelain doll.
A poor, broken doll who was nothing compared to her, the real thing.
Now she didn't have to worry of anyone chasing after InuYasha.
'My InuYasha.'
And she almost chuckled, a slight, unknown pain within her chest.
x-x-x-x-x-x-x
Dark whispers calling from an unknown world, and a person clad in only a black cloack were present throughout the silent night.
The person –male or female- summoned dark blue spheres or energy as his or her lips moved in a silent rhythm that could have only being heard by the undead.
It was calling. Calling a specific forsaken soul.
And while all this happened, a body began to from.
Midnight black hair fluttered as a slight wind rose. Skin white as snow was revealed, delicious curves molded, a firm chest and a symbol which could only mean one thing, only to be covered by black robes once again.
Garments of a priestess.
A slight glow cursed the body as it came to a standing position, and the eyes –crimson, like the blood she was fated to shed- opened slowly.
And the person smirked.
"Welcome back, Heartless Priestess."
She belonged to them, there was no mistake about it.
Oh, BTW, reviews are appreciated, flames will be ignored. Flames are stupid, and if you flame, you'll forever be deemed stupid in my book.
Till next time.
