"You heard him, Phoebe! He's gonna kill us! Help us!" Piper yelled from the living room of Phoebe and Cole's apartment.

Phoebe leaned against the door, crying, wishing everything away. How could she be xpected to choose between her sisters and her husband, the love of her life? She knew what she had to do. "Please forgive me," she whispered as she opened the door of the bathroom. She slowly walked into the living room, where Cole was holding a fire ball ready to throw it at her sisters, and picked up the crystal at her feet. She held it up to her chest, questioning whether or not she was really making the right decision.

"Phoebe. This is for the best. I'm sorry it had to be like this," he turned to her.

She stepped into the not yet completed crystal cage and kissed him. "I'm sorry too," she whispered as she backed away and placed the final crystal in place, activating the cage.

"Phoebe," his eyes pleaded silently with her.

She backed away and grabbed her sisters hands tightly as she cried, knowing she had just made the hardest decision of her life. She was vanquishing her one true love. "I love you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry baby," she whispered as Piper began the spell.

"Prudence, Penelope, Patricia, Melinda..."

"Astrid, Helen, Laura, and Grace..." Phoebe barely choked out.

"Halliwell witches stand strong beside us..."

"And vanquish this evil from time and space," all three finished together.

She turned away. Cole's anguished screamed filled the air as he burst into flames. She felt as though she were tearing apart from the inside as she hear the last of his cries. She couldn't believe it was finally over. Waves of relief and sadness filled her as she knew that she would never see him again.

Phoebe gasped for air as she sat up, covered in sweat. She had been getting nightmares again, reliving the last moments of Cole. Her Cole. Not the invincible maniac that had come back from the wasteland. She looked around at the room. It was veiled in darkness as the rain beat against her window. She glanced at the clock, which read 2:30AM. She pulled her knees close to her and began to cry. "God, Cole. Why did you have to leave me? Why did you have to ruin everything we worked so hard for? Why couldn't you have resisted the evil?" She hugged her knees, rocking back and forth, crying for what seemed an eternity.

a/n: this is just the beginning. will be a really quick update i promise. Story will be Phoebe/Cole. Also, this is sort of AU so Chris isn't related to them in any way, even though the story takes place early s6 b4 they found out anyway. The reason I don't want them related is b/c there could be a possible Chris/Paige match up. plz no flames for that. like i said, AU. and if any of you saw the way they looked at eachother in OMG pt1, you would realize they should have gotten together. lol. ok, enough. gotta work on chapter 1
