THANKS FOR THE REVIEWS GUYS!
The next morning, Paige woke up and scrunched her nose at the bright sunlight that was currently residing in her room. "Who on Earth would be evil enough to open my curtains in the morning before I wake up?" she muttered to herself as she got up and pulled her ponytail out of her hair. Walking downstairs, she could hear the sound of voices coming from the kitchen. She walked inside, adjusting her tank top, and saw Chris leaning against the counter, talking to Cole. "Hey guys. Where's Phoebe and Piper?"
"They went shopping. Said there was some sort of shoe emergency," Chris said, and laughed when Paige rolled her eyes.
"A demon exploded on Phoebe's favorite boots," Cole finished.
Paige sighed. "Why wasn't I aware of this shopping trip?" she pouted.
Chris walked over and put his arm around her shoulder, smiling. "You were just so cute, sleeping. I didn't want to wake you."
Paige stopped and looked at him. "You opened my curtains? You're the evil villain who caused me to wake up before noon like I was planning?" she glared at him, playfully.
He simply smiled back, his beautiful eyes gleaming from the sunlight. "Do you forgive me?" he looked down at her brown eyes. They were so gorgeous. He gently grabbed her neck and kissed her. Her eyes still closed, she nodded her head. "Good. I have to go. I have some stuff to take care of," he started. "Don't make any plans tonight, Paige," he smiled and orbed out.
Paige simply stared at where he was standing. "What the hell?" she muttered. The she turned to Cole. "You," she pointed accusingly at him.
Cole backed away a little, instinctively. "What? I know nothing. I swear. We barely talked. He told me nothing," he rambled.
Paige continued to step closer to the half demon. "Tell me, Turner. What's he doing? Come on. Please. Hybrids should stick together," she pouted. When Cole refused, she stared at him again. "Why are you being so loyal the whitelighter?"
Cole shrugged. "It's rare to get a male friend around here. Let alone, one who doesn't want you vanquished. So right now, I'm not messing that up. All I can say is you shouldlook hot for your man," he smiled, waved playfully, and shimmered out.
"MEN!" she stomped her foot on the ground hard. "Ow. Note to self. Wear shoes when doing that," she walked back upstairs to change.
Phoebe and Piper came through the door, several shopping bags in hand. "Piper, thos shoes were incredible. I wanted them," Phoebe smiled as she whined. She stopped when she saw Paige standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Paige, honey. Sleep well?"
"Don't you Paige honey me. You went shopping without me. Big no-no. And now, Chris is planning something for tonight, and is surprising me. And I don't know what to wear or anything," she pouted.
Phoebe smiled. "Don't worry sweetie. I'll fix you up," she said as she set her bags down. "What time is he coming by?" Phoebe asked, doing her best to act innocent.
Paige looked at Phoebe, then Piper, then Phoebe again. "You're all in on this aren't you? Every last one of you," she laughed. "He didn't tell me a time, Phoebe. He just said don't make plans. But you know, I think I might go to P3 tonight. He thinks he can just make plans for me, well he's got another thing coming," she smirked and walked upstairs.
Piper looked at Phoebe and laughed. "She has no idea that's exactly what we want, does she?" Phoebe simply shook her head, smiling.
Later that night, Paige came down the stairs in a short black dress that she felt showed just enough skin, and her hair put up messily with hairpins. "Piper, Phoebe, I'm going out!" she yelled through the manor, but found no answer. "Hm. Maybe they went out already," she said to herself. She walked through the foyer, her heels clicking on the hard floor when she felt another presence in the house. She turned around, slowly. "Piper?" she called out, but as soon as she was turned around, she was faced with a demon, and an energy ball had hit her shoulder, sending her flying back on the floor. She stood back up, not really caring about her wound. "You are so going to pay for that," she screamed angrily. "Fireball!" she yelled as the demon created another energy ball to throw at her. She immediately aimed it back toward the demon, and he exploded in flames. "Can we ever have a night of peace?" she asked angrily, looking 'up there'. She decided to grab a towel, and go to P3 anyway. It had really only grazed her. Not a major hit. She grabbed her purse and keys and was ready to head out the door when Chris orbed in with a bouquet of roses.
He immediately set them down and rushed to her when he saw her shoulder. "What happened?" he asked, worried.
She shook her head, as if to dismiss it. "A demon attacked. I killed it. I'm alright," she assured him, her blonde hair a total mess now. "Don't worry about it. Really, it's fine," she finished.
He removed her hand, holding the towel to the wound, from her shoulder. "Just let me look at it," he smiled softly as he looked over the wound. "Looks painful. You want me to heal it?" he asked, and she shook her head. "Look, Paige. I know you don't particularly like getting healed for every little thing. But I can fix it now. It's what I'm supposed to do," he kissed her cheek, and she nodded as he held his hand over the wound. As soon as it was closed up, and there was no sign of a demon attack at all, he leaned in close to her. "Happy Birthday," he whispered before closing the gap between their mouths. She pulled away for a minute, and looked into his green eyes. They were so perfect. And genuine. She touched his face and kissed him again, as she orbed them upstairs.
"Phoebe, are you sure Paige is coming to P3?" Piper asked, impatiently. It had been an hour since Paige was supposed to show up. If she hadn't showed on her own, Chris was going to come get her and bring her to her party. But he hadn't showed either. "Maybe we should just call this off. They could be hurt, or in danger," she looked at Phoebe, who nodded and got on stage, letting the partygoers know that it has in fact been cancelled due to the absence of the guest of honor. When she got off stage, Piper had her coat on and Cole was holding Phoebe's coat.
"We can go in the back room and I'll shimmer you to the manor, if you'd like," Cole offered.
Phoebe and Piper agreed. It wasn't like Chris and Paige to just not show up. They hadn't even realized it had been an hour. They felt so guilty. If something had happened to them, they'd never forgive themselves. When they got to the manor, they searched the downstairs and main floor. Finding nothing, they went to the stairs. Piper decided to check the attic for signs of a struggle and Phoebe was going to check the bedrooms. She walked through, going to Paige's bedroom first. When she slowly opened the door, she smiled and suppressed a giggle. In Paige's bed, she was laying peacefully in Chris' arms as he gently played with her blonde hair, smiling. Phoebe crept away to find Piper and let her know that their sister was indeed ok. 'More than ok', she thought to herself. When she finally caught Piper in the stairway, she smiled. "Paige is fine. Chris is fine. We should really let them be," she tried to keep herself from giggling.
Piper looked at Phoebe, confused. "What do you mean? Chris was supposed to bring her to the party. If they aren't hurt, I'm going to yell at them," she said and started to march to Paige's room. She stopped abruptly at the doorway, when she saw her baby sister sleeping, in the same bed as their whitelighter. "oh my god," she couldn't help herself from saying. She immediately covered her mouth.
Chris was shocked out of his daze and stared at Piper and Phoebe, shocked and disgusted. They were definately not supposed to walk in on this. "Uh, Piper. Phoebe. Hi," he said, feebly looking for his pants.
Paige woke up, and looked at Chris, groggily. "You wouldn't be leaving me, now would you, Mr. Perry?" she smiled, then realized he looked a bit sick. "What's wrong? You're not going all homosexual on me right? I have really good gaydar, and I got nothing from you," she rambled before finally spotting her sisters. "Oh," she stopped. "Could you guys give us a minute to collect ourselves?" she said and made a shooing motion with her hand. Piper closed the door, and Paige sighed. "Sorry. Living with sisters does have its disadvantages," she said as she grabbed her tank top and pants and dressed herself.
As soon as Chris had properly gotten his pants back on, he turned toward her. "My fault, actually. You see, there was kind of a surprise party for you at P3. That was why I was here. To make sure you were going to be there. I guess they thought we were hurt or something when we never showed," he explained.
"So I missed my surprise party with lots of gifts and cake because of you?" she asked, looking annoyed.
He smirked and got on the bed next to her. "Wasn't I worth it?"
She simply laughed. "Of course. You were the best birthday present I've had in a long time," she pushed him down and kissed him. After a few moments, she pulled away. "I should really apologize to my sisters," she said as she got up and walked toward the door. Chris followed, putting his shirt back on.
