It's finally back! I know that script format was formally banned, but everyone still puts it up anyways. Besides, everyone really seemed to want this to continue. Emilia has given me this prologue, plus chapters one to four at the moment, but the first ten are written.
As for the story itself, I know what you're thinking- ick, another tactician story. And you may be right. Or not. But beware- Fire Emblem characters probably WERE harmed in the making of this fanfiction. Particularly Sain and Legault, but if you like them, then don't worry- nobody dies. Except Nergal, Elbert, and a bunch of other people we don't care about. But we don't care about them.
Fire Emblem: Blazing Shovels
Prologue: On the Plains of What?
: Are you awake?
What? Who?
: I found you unconscious on the plains.”
Plains? What plains? Where am I?
: I’m Lyn, of the Lorca tribe.
Tribe? They still have those?
Lyn: Who are you?
Good question. Who am I? Why don’t I remember!
Lyn: Can you tell me your name?
Oh yah.
Emerald: I’m Emerald.
Lyn: What a weird name.
Emerald: Hey!
Lyn: Well, it is. How come you’re on the Plains of Sacae?
The plains of what?
Lyn: Would you share your story with me?
What am I doing here? I really wish I could remember. Where am I again?
Emerald: Ummm….
There was a loud crash outside, freeing me from trying to explain something that I couldn’t remember.
Lyn: What was that!
She ran out and swore a few times.
Lyn: Oh &! Bandits! This is the fourth time this week! They keep coming in the truckloads!
Wonderful. I can’t remember what I’m doing and I’m about to get caught in the middle of a battle.
Lyn: Stay here. I’ll take care of them.
Okay. I’ll just make myself comfortable and wait here.
Lyn: Or, maybe you should come with me.
Shoot. I was planning trying to remember what I was doing. Not fighting. Definitely not fighting.
Lyn: What kind of weapon do you use?
Umm, I don’t think I can use one.
Emerald: I can’t use a weapon-
Lyn So you’re a strategist?
A what?
Lyn: Great! Let’s go!
We both ran outside. Two bandits were standing out there. One was guarding a tent.
Lyn: Stay here and tell me what to do.
Emerald: What if something happens-
Lyn: Here.
She handed me a shovel.
Lyn: This might help.
Great. I was going to protect myself with a shovel. Lyn should have just left me unconscious. I probably would have been better off.
Lyn: Let’s go!
And the battle started.
Lyn: I need to get closer to the enemy!
No kidding.
Emerald: Go left!
The bandit moved closer. I was concentrating less on him and more on the bushes around me. I had a feeling that a shovel would not protect me from anything.
Emerald: Err…Lyn, attack the bandit!
Before long, she was facing the man at the tent.
Batta: Who do you think you are? Do you think you can take on Batta the Beast!
Lyn: Your nothing compared to what happened to those guys yesterday!
And she promptly killed him.
Lyn: Are you okay?
Emerald: Yes, I think so.
Lyn: We should be getting to bed, it’s almost dark.
That was about the best thing I’d heard from her all day.
Lyn: Good morning Emerald!
Emerald …
Lyn: Are you awake yet?
Now I am, thanks to you.
Lyn: There was something I wanted to talk to you about…
Can it wait until after breakfast?
Lyn: After seeing you help me yesterday,
Guess not.
Lyn: I see you have some experience in the ways of war.
Really!
Lyn: Could I travel with you?
Traveling? I wasn’t planning on going anywhere, but sure, you can come. Just no more battles.
Emerald: I guess, but shouldn’t you ask your parents…
Lyn: Err, I kinda don’t have any, well, at least live ones…
Evil grin… I don’t think I want to know…
Emerald: Never mind.
Lyn: It was their fault! I’m eighteen! I can leave home if I want to! But no, do they listen! Anyway, I’ve got to get stronger so I can take on the Taliver bandits. The leader owes me money, and I’d really like it back now.
Great. More fighting.
Lyn: Tell me you’ll train with me!
What am I supposed to use? A shovel?
Lyn: We’ll be a great team! You’re my master strategist, and I’m your fearless warrior!
Cool. Master strategist. I could live with that.
Emerald: Then let’s go!
I grabbed the shovel I had used yesterday. I had a very bad feeling I was going to need it.
Well, that’s that!
Emilia secretly lives off reviews. So unless you want her to die, review. Poor, poor Emilia.
