I tried to hurt you, I tried to kill you,

The first time I saw your face.

But you ignored it,

And forbade it,

And didn't care for my race.

Now a year has passed,

And you have seen,

All the different sides of me.

And through all the

Good times and the bad,

You always stand behind me.
