This is a poem I made in twenty minutes after my aunt asked me to make one for an assigment my seven year old cousin was doing. I'm proud of how it came out, so here it is.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN

I knew a girl with a gentle grin,

did not know my name: Rumpelstiltskin

a princess with rosey cheeks,

With eyes ages old,

Forcing her to make straw of gold,

guessed my name,

I begged and beckoned,

Her slyness and craft were one I never reckoned,

I spun the straw of gold for the young girl,

all in exchange for her rings, and diamonds, pretty little pearls,

I'd take her first born after the deed was done,

a bond that could not be broken,

She begged and pleaded,

for the love of her child,

an offer that sparked my beguile,

Guess my name,

I challenged the maiden,

and your child shall be claimed,

though, I warn,

It's quite a challenge,

No man has ever said my name,

three days you have,

Until your child is mine,

An agreement that cannot be undone,

Sheepshanks Cruickshanks, Spindleshanks? Or Harry?

Not my name, I howled yelled,

twas her child I could carry,

Then finally when I thought all was done,

and the task I knew I'd won,

the prciness guessed my name,

the name Rumpelstiltskin.
